I have enough to learn both I think, how's it cooking, quickly?
    @bowen
Didn't time it but I emptied the last of the quetz metal into it. It seems like it can do 3 stacks every 5-10 mins??? Can't really say for sure. I was nodding off as I finished up. I know one thing on my list is to metalize that building. I don't need a wild bronto wandering through and damaging the floor and wiping out that expensive ass forge

We can finally ramp up gunpowder production too since it cooks a stack a minute of wood, or so.

Abdy, your points against fast travel only make sense in the context of a very specific game design

E.g., either deliberately antagonizing games where a hostile and tense environment is a central part of the design like DayZ or a linear adventure where backtracking is shunned

Open world RPGs that promote several central game hubs make sense to have fast travel as an option for various elementary reasons

nuh-uh. I'm talking about how open world RPGs shouldn't ignore the things linear adventures have to consider when they make your path. I didn't say anything about discouraging backtracking! Skyrim for example has plenty of reasons to make crossing your tracks still be interesting. The tedious bits come from how quests markers are all over the place and especially how to sell anything you have to jump between every fucking city to find enough merchants jesus christ you guys run your shops on low fucking margins.

Not that I don't think that hostile and tense environments shouldn't be present in way more games. In parts. That's a good way to make backtracking not be dull busywork.

You're not really making any sense in your argument and I'm just going to go back to sleep for a bit and get my bearings

I feel that after 20 years I am done with any kind of economic system that requires a ton of time invested to get a sweet armor. Make me fight a boss, or solve a puzzle, or do some tricky platforming, but challenge me, don't ask me to kill 30 bears, 20 wolves, find 10 dankroots, mine 20 silver ore for a silver ingot and then bring that to the distant mountaintop because in RPGs the best smiths live as recluses instead of fuckoff rich in the middle of cities.

economy systems are fun if they are actual economy systems you can fuck with

like what Starsector is doing, you destabilize places with smuggling or piracy, create trade deficits by raiding convoys, etc. Exploit food shortages. It's fun.

Or like mount and blade, sooooooort of. Make incremental changes to prosperity by killing the farmers going to market. Or just loot pillage and burn, so it's kind of a one trick pony economy system, in reality.

Ugh, I miss just kind of wandering the borderlands of DAoC with my guild. Like maybe a full group at most. Just kind of trucking about. Farming. Finding a few small skirmishes. Never knowing where the enemy is.

Not like the golf course in Hibland but the hills in Albion or the mountains in Midgard.

Inventory management when you're always collecting ambient items like ingots or whatever and shuttle runs back and forth from merchants or the chest in my house is much less fun than you think it is, game developers.

Brexit is such a bad idea

some of our own no-to-eu people are going yeah get outta there britain, ignoring that their arguments don't apply. Entering or not entering is not the same question as leaving. Their arguments are basically, we have it pretty nice, this is working out for us. We've got access to the inner market, shit's good.

The rest of the EU is not going to be kind to the UK after. In is in, out is out, as germany's minister of finance said.

EDIT: Seriously though what are the arguments for leaving anyway? Because they're not going to give the UK access to the inner market if they leave, so, what, really? Like, aside from the sovereignity britain strong I'm british not european arguments because *jerk off motion*

I am kinda morbidly curious as well, to be honest. The short-term answer is: a mess. Long term, I have no clue, but I suspect a lot of angry, thick people will be standing, hands on hips, demanding why things haven't turned out the way they thought they would.

It's practically guaranteed that you'll not get that. If the UK leaves, the EU isn't going to have much reason to make leaving look like a good idea to anyone else. It'd be a matter of live and death for the whole EU project, so yeah. No expectations of any kind of deal approaching like what we've got going.
