this probably dates me but one of the better hip hop shows I ever saw was the tour for the documentary Scratch. I honestly forget everyone who was there but it was dudes like z-trip, mixmaster mike, q-bert, j-rocc and probably a bunch of others. that was real fun time for music.

* man more I watch that dj brace set the more impressive it is. insane crabbing on the fader, awesome beat juggling, dude looks like he's having a blast.

the glory days for me were all about late 90s/early 00s beat junkies sound. I still think j-rocc and babu's mixing on rawkus' soundbombing 2 mix is some of the best I've ever heard. j-rocc's live at the sex machine and sex machine today also still hold up really well.

One of those has Bittersweet Symphony in there; somewhere in the big heap of CDs I need to get around to sorting out, I have this, which (imho) makes better use of the melody, and unlike The Verve doesn't actually sample the Andrew Loog Oldham version of The Last Time, they got it to be independantly played:
