Well, looks like the North Dakota pipeline issue is going to get even worse.

Maybe they're being sent to guard and protect the sites that are being destroyed?

    I know, they're not...

From what I understand, he is conservative (Old Miss grad, remember), but he's also a serious journalist who takes his profession seriously.

I may not always agree with Shep, but I respect him, and I trust that he will report accurately, if with a conservative bent (and to be fair, that alone is a good reason why he should be in your rotation, liberal or conservative.)

Sometimes it feels like you can do a lot of good by being the one decent person in a very bad place

And that isn't really how it works, but it's a temptation i understand

He was also pretty damn vocal about being anti-torture.

Shep is one of the good ones. I really wish he'd be hired by a competing network to be their "token conservative" or some such.

If he's actually a conservative, he's the type of conservative I wish was actually around in government instead of just on the news.

There's still value to having an opposing view point so long as said view point is willing to actually work with the other side on things.

They're wrong, but it's good to keep the left somewhat in check so we don't go so far off the deep end that we become the Green Party or full blown communist.

    that's not a real problem

if every Republican disappeared off the face of the earth tomorrow, the democratic party would be the new right, fighting against capital gains taxes, automobile divestment, and public broadband utilities

So you are on the side of those who consider that a grilled cheese sandwich and not a melt. A very controversial position to take.

if I was literally given a choice between Donald trump and a sandwich

    I would vote sandwich

I mean that an actual slab of ham on bread would be a preferable choice to Donald trump for the office of president of the united states

all hail President B. Forest Ham

a Panini isn't made out of sliced bread

  • milskimilski Poyo! Registered User regular
Tomato is acceptable on a grilled cheese because you dip grilled cheeses in tomato soup.

Onion is questionable, but I'm willing to let it slide. You're walking a fine line though Quid.

I have tried and tried to like tomatoes and just cannot enjoy eating them. It makes me feel like I'm missing out on a lot of good food.

I don't mind them when they're well integrated into something, and I like the taste, but the texture just grosses me all the way out.

Also, how is a panini not made with sliced bread?

Gotta get the stuff in there somehow

I can't stand tomatoes or tomato sauce. ESPECIALLY tomato sauce. It makes it really hard to get good pizza.

Ketchup and salsa are alright, oddly enough.

I get what you mean. But that could be described as having been sliced open. Hence the confusion.
