Wikipedia tells me this is about some guy in overalls climbing through pipes and killing mushroom people to save the girl, so I'm assuming this is the inevitable gritty Super Mario Bros reboot. I hope Toad is in this one, he's my favorite. It's rated M, so I can only assume the bob-ombs are being replaced by f-bob-ombs.

Oh no, I opened the package and took a photo on Thursday but I never got around to actually posting, did I? I'm sorry, I've just had a kind of distracting few days.

My santa signed themselves with a mysterious anagram, that I totally didn't figure out almost immediately.

Anyway, it looked like this!

A fantastic board game where you can play as the Evil Empire and also the other Evil Empire (#radicalleftopinions) and a book that was probably the dorkiest thing on my amazon wishlist. I'm hoping it will help me deal with more and more of my friends getting PHDs in sociology, though.

Opening it was a nice little relief on a kind of annoying day where I had 1. had a meeting where my continued stable income was suddenly called into question (still waiting to see how that shakes out, so uh yeah) and 2. been so tired from work that I overslept and missed seeing Rogue One with my siblings.

I think I am pretty solid with my workplace actually it's mostly the municipal bureaucracy that is a problem, because I'm in a slightly convoluted program where the city is paying some of my wage (kind of a job training thing to speed people out of the unemployment system). And there's like three different offices involved, that apparently don't really talk to each other, so, yeah.

inside i found magic

very fucking cool stickers, some of which may be immediately used on my snowboard

and some more (also a badger pope?) i'm down

there was also some very suweet calendars so that i can keep track of every day that is not 2016

and a friendly (unfriendly) note pad to do with what i will

the art has been placed in the open spot next to childish gambino and is much appreciated

I just remembered I forgot include a gift in my santee's package of cheer. I am horribly embarrassed. Santa will be sending a late package, 'cause.....my brain just can't brain these days.
