I need some COOL ideas

So, I'm helping my friend with these projects because he has a 36% in a course and he needs to make up some projects really badly.

Anyways, there's this one plaster project (we're trying to get this done by friday) and the parameters are it has to be something you do every day (this is a sculpture class) it's in a SERIES of 9 different objects that we make with plaster...they don't have to be big

so I need some ideas that are simple, yet can be pretentiously assholish enough to pull off as "awesome art"

example: I had this class last semester and this girl put plaster into a bunch of plastic baggies sitting in different ways and let it dried

in the end she called it "digestion"

needless to say, she got an A

Can you guys come up with some equally fucking good ideas? I need help PLS

It's a shame this is in H/A, otherwise I could get angry at you. :x

I have no idea what kind of things they appreciate, but the first thing coming to mind is making small statues of a human body in the different positions you get in on a daily basis, like sleeping, sitting and walking, but maybe you're doing more interesting things or maybe you have to commute on a busy bus so you have to stand while the bus driver is acting all GTA-like.

    I dunno, it's art, goddamnit.

Daily emotions? I'm not sure how that would be done in plaster, but it's probably an A+ if you can come up with something.

edit> don't do plasters of the face in different emotions. too obvious.

take a hunk of plaster, spray it with water

let it dry, the streams are hardened all along it and you call it "shower"

    Or:

Take a hunk of plaster, run a hose over it for however long you need to in order to see an effect...and increase the time with each "hunk".

    Call it "corrosion", or something.

if "digestion" got an A then you should be more concerned with what can get you an A from that teacher rather than what's actually good. Because that idea sounds like someone forgot to do their project and their plaster had accidentally dried in the bags that were left out over night.

    p.s. penis monuments

p.s.s. it just so happens that humans have 9 holes on their body (hint hint)

I'm just looking for something easy to do. All she did was stick some plaster in some ziploc baggies.

I'm trying to avoid "carving" things--it takes too much time, anything simple?

the shower/hose ideas were good reccomendations, thanks.

shit, if you're looking for an easy A without doing any work at the last minute, don't do anything to a block of plaster and call it "procrastination."

No, make a block of plaster, but then cut off one little piece of the corner. Then balance the entire sculpture on that little flat part.

If you do this, remember not to put your hands in wet plaster or you can get severe burns. You make plaster casts of body parts by casting the body part in alginate (or something similar) and then using the alginate mold to pour the plaster into.
