Seems like a hot topic, and we won't have to gum up the other threads.

The video above alludes to launch(ish) titles being a new Zelda game, a new Mario game, a new Mario Kart game, NBA 2K, Splatoon, and a Skyrim port

I dunno, y'all. I kinda like it.

How are the controllers held in place? They pull them away from the screen so easily in the teaser. Magnets?

I'm not saying that this shit be crazy and off the hook but clearly it is.

I have a thoughtful and infrequently updated blog about games http://whatithinkaboutwhenithinkaboutgames.wordpress.com/

I made a game, it has penguins in it. It's pay what you like on Gumroad.

Currently Ebaying Nothing at all but I might do in the future.

One thing I thought was kind of fascinating about the video:

I don't think there were any kids in it all. Teenagers maybe. This is a lifestyle accessory marketed toward 20s-30s adults.

While we've known for years the average age of a game consumer is 30ish, it really drive it home to see it so plainly from a company that I will always associate with my grade-school childhood, and that once advertised its products like any other toy.

It looks like some interesting technology that I could hypothetically see being interested in buying, but I'm pretty sure I won't. I suspect that they'll have had to make too many compromises to get the whole portable thing to work.

Imma gonna look at some articles, but I feel like it's an interesting hardware solution in search of a problem, and the hardware solution will come with its own set of problems.

Still, Skyrim on Nintendo is interesting. I'm gonna assume that they're going to be using something like normal cpu/gpu tech since asking Bethesda to port their code onto rando hardware is madness.

Shut up, Mr. Burton! You were not brought upon this world to get it!

I'm impressed they seem to be sticking with the March 2017 release. I was sure it was going to be delayed.
