The new forums will be named Coin Return (based on the most recent vote)! You can check on the status and timeline of the transition to the new forums here.
The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I'll start next to the hill on the right side of the map, as far north as possible, just right of the patch of trees so I can walk to the top of the hill on my first move.
No worries, either way your BV and the enemy BV is close enough.
Okay, from here on out it is turn 1 and you all are on your 25 word limit per turn for talking to one another. If you have a rules related question, or OOC question, that won't count against you.
When you want to execute a move order simply tell me in the thread with an @ please tell me what facing you want to end up in. I will use default MegaMek pathing to get you to a hex unless you have a specific route that you want to take.
Here is your radar map for turn 1:
Here is your movement map for turn 1:
Who you want to move first is up to you.
Everyone deployed in their default radar mode (maybe I missed being able to choose during turn 1, but most peoples default seems good).
Riemann, Avatar is scanning with radar at 0-8 hexes
Nips, Raven is scanning with BAP at 12-24 hexes
Moon, Dragon is scanning with radar at 16-24 hexes
Mega, Archer is scanning with radar at 0-0 hexes (that is to say your radar currently ain't doing jack)
Currently everything is clear.
If you would like a more detailed picture of any part of the map, please ask.
And Nips get some intel, bringing us to the end of turn 1.
Friendly reminder going into turn 2: You can not taraget indirect fire off of radar signatures alone, someone needs eyes on the target to give a spot, just to prevent any potential confusion.
Just as Nips is reading a juicy intel feed everything goes dark, his radar screen being plastered over with a single image:
Turn 2 radar ranges:
Nip's BAP: 0-0
Riemann's Radar: 8-16
Moon's Radar: 0-8
Mega's Radar: 0-0 (You gotta speak to your mechanic.)
Turn 2 Radar Map:
Turn 2 Movement Map:
Mega's Archer currently has LOS to the jump platoons, the PPC carrier, and the heavy LRM carrier. Which is why they are still on the map. Moon has LOS just to the PPC carrier. (Which also means they have LOS to you and know where you are )
Your side has lost initiative and will need to move first.
I have a pretty safe move so will go first: advancing to 1224 end up facing N.
COMM:
Heading to a firing position in 1422 or 1322
Attacked by tweeeeeeees!

Nips wipes a bit of sweat off his brow just under his neurohelmet, the heat from both his 'Mech and the yard-sale's worth of bolted-on second hand electronics warming his cockpit measurably.
I'm going to resolve riemann's move first, let you know if the info changes at all, and then assuming nothing has changed, resolve your order, if things have changed, I'll give you a chance to change your order, sound good?
Moon's Dragon pushes up to behind the next hill, the same enemies are still visible as before after the enemy resolves their movement. (The Men Shens have still not moved.)
Normally I'd say PM me your targeting orders now! But this is all rather moot as the only person with LOS to any targets currently is Nips, so @Nips just let the thread know who you are spotting. (As for declaring the rest of your weapons everything else is currently out of range. Also I took the liberty of declaring your TAG against the rear Men Shen, as everything else required at 13+ roll to hit (front Men Shen), was out of TAG range (Heavy LRM carrier) or can't be targetted by TAG (infantry). Unfortunately you needed an 11 for your TAG to connect but you rolled a 10.)
Lead Men Shen has a +3 TMM, Rear Men Shen has a +1 TMM, infantry has a +2 TMM, LRM carrier has a +1 TMM. Just as a heads up.

Roger, 5836 BV it is
Edit: So I've got Moon's deployment location, I just need the rest of yours and we can get this glorious show on the road
Megamek is giving me 5836. I have you down as taking default ammo, maybe I missed you saying you wanted different ammo?
yeah default is good (assuming the default is Artemis LRM). I probably just picked the wrong thing somewhere.

COMM:
hex 2323 excellent for overwatch
tanks vulnerable LRM and LBX
OpFor has moved, radar remains unchanged.
(I'd update the movement map picture to show where Riemann is but that seems unnecessary, unless people want me to?)
Coms: "Moving up this hill. Maybe I can get eyes on something."
@Inquisitor Move to hex 2230.
CONTACT
(Did not expect people to be seeing one another so soon!)
And after the enemy moves, uh oh, more things come into view:
Comms: "The local civilian radio's gone dark; likely military has cleared it for comms. Moving up for eyes-on."
@Inquisitor Move to 1826, facing NE.
(Curse your bringing a BAP :P)
If the border around the name is dark grey than the unit has already moved. So everything you can currently see has moved.
Edit: Also, for the record, I'm digging everyone's in character fluff bits quite a lot
Move to 2030
Comms: "WHAT WAS THAT? Oh, nothing sorry....wait what's that?! Is that something? I'm freaking out, man!"
And I'll process your order when I am back from class
Then the enemy moves, bringing new signatures into Nips probe range.
Suddenly that Raven feels a little small as two Men Shens flicker into life on your screen
No one is in LOS of Nips for being tagged by his TAG.
Everyone is either out of range or out of LOS to perform any ranged attacks this turn.
So now Nips gets to have a bunch of information PMed to him thanks to his active probe.
Also, as a reminder, you can talk when it isn't your action, it just is part of your 25 words per turn.
count out the LRM and PPC ranges before moving
open ground in middle threatened
(Ran out of words this turn, and it's only turn 1 :P )
Friendly reminder going into turn 2: You can not taraget indirect fire off of radar signatures alone, someone needs eyes on the target to give a spot, just to prevent any potential confusion.

@Nips @RiemannLives @MegaMek @DaMoonRulz
Talking limit has reset, 25 words for turn 2 begins now.
COMM:
Heading to a firing position in 1422 or 1322
@Inquisitor Move to 2223, facing north.
COMMS: "OpFor: Infantry Laser Jumpers, Schrek Standard, west Scout Car standard."
LOS to the Heavy LRM carrier has been lost. No other changes. Proceed with move?
Back to your move.
*Glares at radar display in disbelief*
Comms: "Moving up. Prepping missile launchers for indirect fire."

COMMS: "Target designated; bring the rain"
Archer needs 13 to hit the target, while the Avatar needs 15s.
The dragon on the other hand can hit the target on a 12.
@DaMoonRulz Do you take the shot?
(Again, normally I'll be sending out PMs for this but, considering only one person has one valid attack with one weapon...
And if it makes you feel any better the OpFor are looking at equally bad firing solutions.)
