PS Vita: The original Switch

You da mvp. I only check this thread every now and then because I actually only own a PSP, but an FF sale is nice to know about since I wouldn't have checked otherwise. Got the hankering to play some of the older games since the ff7 remake announcement and hearing the ff7 battle music in smash 4, but didn't want to pay $10 for 10 year old games. I so wish I had a vita for all the other great rpgs but I can't afford one. Also now that I've said ff7 is old, it makes me feel ancient.

Anyone run into that before? And, if so, manage to fix it without having to redownload everything? That's a lot of stuff!

I do not need reminders of the death of it in the west.

Thanks! I will look into it.
Are you guys talking about Phantasy Star Nova? Was just googling. I'm probably more nostalgic about PSO than I am for any other game of its era, and as much as I never really got into the early, single-player Phantasy Stars (though I did play them through Sega Channel, way back when), I'd probably be interested if Nova came to the US.
I grew up a huge Sega fanboy and am always looking for an excuse to relive or reconnect with old memories.

Oh. In that case, yeah. Doubly interested.
Also, NA Flash Sale is up. Nothing crazy, but some good deals on indies.
I heard that PSO2 on PC is pretty much fully translated and all by now, but I haven't had time to test it.
I've bought another Vita so that I can play my american games without an aneurysm.
Stranger of Sword City Revisited hitting PSN in 10 days. Has additional classes and some of the really obnoxious leveling mechanics were changed a bit(i.e. no more reclass limit). There are supposedly other changes but I'm hard pressed to find an actual list anywhere.
A demo is supposedly releasing this weekend for the first 8 or so hours of the game and progress can be carried into the full game.
NISA store already has preorders up for the LE/SE

I've also been playing SAO lost song lately. I'm enjoying it far more than I expected to considering its... A not hugely creative or diverse hack n slash dungeon thing. I'll probably finish it up soon and probably buy the third one?

NeoGAF had this to say a while ago.
I found some more details here. http://www.spoiler.jp/srv/tsurugi/index.php

Comes out this week.

It's like an accountant, or something. Unable to fight, unable to enter dungeons, but their battle-stats actually are the lowest. Even the invisible stats that players will never know about. They put in the work to make the weakness honest.
Wait. If they can't fight and can't enter dungeons.... what do they even do in a dungeon crawler?

Also Portable 2 Infinity, which iirc they also announced would be coming west and then ignored.
PSO2 had promise but I think it's fallen into f2p traps since launch. There's a thread over in the MMO section for it actually.

Phantasy Star Nova has been getting patched too.

NISA is localizing it but they're doing a fuckawful job of indicating what the actual gameplay is about. So far the videos and screenshots I've seen only show the world map and some Criminal Girls-esque ero scenes where you paint tattoos onto the backs of topless banchou girls a la Yakuza. Also these tattoos give them magical powers because of course they do.
Went to the site of the actual developer and couldn't find a damn thing more than NISA had, which raises a few red flags. What even is this? Hopefully something shows up some time before release. All the vidya gaem news aggregate sites do nothing but copy/paste the same trailer and game description. Worthless.

I'm not sure what's not to understand.
That's cool and I'll jump into it, but damn if I can finish that game. Already borrowed persona 4 golden two times and both times I had to give it back because I get distracted easily.
Good job. I bought it last month thus fulfilling the PS+ curse
Picked up Shovel Knight last week so maybe that will go PS+ next month too!
I beat it once and got the true ending, but I've stalled out on a second playthrough because I'm trying to finish up niggling things before I do a perfect S-link third playthrough to get the platinum trophy.
