Hello,

I have been looking for the past week for stone dice sets and all I keep finding is gemstones. Where can I buy real stone dice sets instead of gemstones?

All of these have darker stone dice available along with the more gem style dice, and were pretty easy to find by searching for "stone dice."

None of the dice look like they're made out of unpolished rock, so if that's what you're going for ot ,ogjt tale a not ,pre wprl tp fomd ot/

Thanks for the links but I have already been to those sites. Guess I should have been more clear on my original post. Yes I am looking for a rough hewn looking dice instead of a polished set. The best way to describe it would be similar to the rocks found under railroad tracks, rough and dense but still smooth to the touch but look gritty.

You won't find such things as they wouldn't be even for throwing. I suppose you could try to carve your own, but due to the lack of density you will likely get less-than-random outcomes.

Yeah I think I will just need to buy a dremel and get to work trying to make some dice. Didn't think that gemstones would be better balanced than things like slate and other types of rock.

Yea, it's a fantasy if you think crystal caste actually verifies that sort of thing, or practically anybody.

The only idea I have for you would be to maybe scout out Etsy or something for folks who work stone. It can be kinda tricky and is a completely different skill set than say metalworking.

Already doing that, was honestly looking into asking someone to take some whiskey stones and just sculpting them down.

Are the black soapstones on artisandice not what you're looking for?

edit: I've gotten wood dice from them and they are pretty excellent. They are also very customer friendly so if you have something in mind, you can message them and they'll work with you and are known to be able to source just about any material.

They are the closest and I am waiting for a response from an inquiry I made. The https://artisandice.com/order/santa-rita-soapstone/ is the best thing I can find but I was also wondering if anyone here had some other suggestions. I like to look at all the options before making a purchase and was hoping to find some other vendors like Artisandice.
