A single day in New York city
Hey just found out i'm on a business trip to the states next week, and due to flight costs (its cheaper flying home sunday than friday) my boss will park me in new york over the weekend, where i'd normally have my transfer. So I have saturday the 18th off in new york city,
I know that's not a lot of time so maybe you guys have some suggestions on the best things to do/see in the little time I have.
My first instinct would be to enter a museum, but i'm not sure if that's the best way to spend my time in a city I haven't visited before.

Does New York City have some kind of museum card - where you can enter multiple places without buying separate tickets? and I don't feel like a chum for only spending one hour in one and then hopping over to the next?
Well, considering there are often big lines for the museums (natural history), you're realistically going to only hit 1 or 2.
There are a lot of other museums depending on what you're interested in. The Museum of the City of New York, the Brooklyn Museum (a better experience than the Met IMHO, go to Islands afterwards for good Jamaican food).
