Do you think the blue IKEA toting bag is super useful but missing a certain je ne sais quis?

Do you want to spend an exorbitant amount of money on a copy of something that is probably 100 times less useful than the original?

    You're in luck!

Balenciaga's $2,145 bag is just like Ikea's 99 cent tote

I was told I dress like Grant Morrison tonight.

I'm not sure how to take this.

I'm a consultant from an IT vendor, and sometimes I have to go on site to discuss why things broke. (Or how they managed to break them).

Also I tend to commute by motorcycle and can't be bothered changing pants.

Do linen clothes need to be ironed before wear?

  • honoverehonovere Registered User regular
    edited April 2017
Linen crumples easily and alot. so after washing a piece of linen clothing it will look very crumpled.

But on the other hand after ironing it wll not stay uncrumpled for very long.

edit: also ironing creases like collars too much can break the fabric because the fibres aren't as elastic as for example cotton.

I have a black linen shirt and I never iron it.

To be fair if I'm ironin a shirt, that means I'm going to:
    1. customer meeting
    2. job interview
    3. wedding
    4. funeral
    5. other super fancy formal event

I don't even iron my shirts for work because fuck it, who cares

on the cheap (everything <$10, usually 3 or less), ELF usually has good stuff, as well as Milani/Jordana, Wet & Wild, and the Sally store brands (Femme Couture, Palladio.)

there are other quality drugstore brands, but i look for cruelty-free, and vegan when possible; which brings me conflict and typically knocks out a lot of smaller CF-brands owned by L'Oreal or Proctor&Gamble. i love NYX colors, but feel unsettled as they're owned by L'Oreal, so i mainly stick to Wet & Wild.

which is fine, because all those i name-checked have some boss formulas and are cheap enough to splurge occasionally. i like crazy colors, but am also thrifty and want to see colors in person before buying, so if you are more willing to experiment, ordering online opens up a lot more possibilities.

I just heard about how much I'm getting back in Canadian taxes, so I think I'm gonna go shopping tomorrow

I need basically...entirely new shoes, one dress (for now) and maybe some new makeup

I've been a little hesitant because it's kind of hard to tell what stores are actually going to be within my pricepoint here; most of the brands I liked most back home were Canadian or smaller local boutiques. Guess it's finally time to give it a real shot!

but i don't feel like showing that much enhancement on my cleavage, anyway, so you're just going to have to trust that the lipstick is killin' it for me. (Envy)

    I gotta get new pants.

I got bulkier or something and most of my slim cut pants do not fit anymore. Or at least not comfortably, mainly around my thighs and knees. So, now I'm down to about 1 pair that fits.
