This gets an uptick whenever a movie gets their attention and try to ruin it for everyone else. RE: Fan4stic, Thor, The Force Awakens, Ghost Busters etc. I don't remember it during DS9 or VOY, maybe they weren't as obnoxious or organized back then?
They are the surface of a bigger problem of racism and sexism in various media and hobbies, like comics and video games. You don't need to go to twitter or you tube to this toxic thought process permeate a fandom.
This is one of their milder, more intelligent and professional brethren. Then there's guys like this who can;t form a coherent argument and get distracted by topics.
On some of his "episodes" (I don't know what correct term is for that) he acts like he must be new to comics since he's never seen characters be on multiple teams before. Too many times I"ve seen this from supposed fans/collectors who have read comics for decades, and they forget the industry's history.

I have a deadline on thursday so I need to make sure the wheels are churning in the rendering farm.
Luckily we have flex time to use however. But less-luckily I have another deadline for last of june that will be impossible unless I start immediately on thursday.
But from start of july I'll just collapse and I dunno, clean my folders, until vacation starts.
