Last year I, a denizen of Northern Ireland, took the Ferry to Scotland, drove down into Northern England, then through into Snowdonia in Wales in a holiday that took a week. I thought it was great, and was thinking of doing a more epic two-week version this year while I still have EU membership to make it easier. I'm probing for advice with some of it, as well as recommendations for stuff to see.
So my general route:
Ferry from Rosslare to Pembroke
Drive to Cardiff, spend a day or two there
Go to Bath to see the Baths
Southampton to see some Titanic stuff
Stonehenge
Greenwich Observatory (Maybe)
Canterbury
Dover
And now the fun part, for I get the Channel Tunnel to France
(General advice, what kind of insurance would I need for driving my car? Is my current version enough or should I get something specific)
From Calais, I'd head to Bruge. Possibly Brussels
Is it worth driving to Amsterdam? What can you see in a couple of days
Then I'd like to follow the Rhine upstream, though I'm toying with a big detour to visit the Teutoburg forest
Which cities (if any) are worth visiting along the Rhine?
Back into France, to see stuff like the Maginot Line, and maybe the Battle of the Somme
Not Paris itself, I've already been, but I might go to Versailles
Up to Normandy, to see the Bayeux Tapestry and some WW2 stuff
Get the Ferry from Cherbourg back to Rosslare
So I guess I'm asking for a mixture of how much time should I budget for this, and are there any particular places I should go to? And are there any hints for Continental Driving?
(I was gonna write a primer about the DUP but I got tired they like being part of the UK and the colour Orange and hate gays and they might be part of the national government which sucks)
Also apropos of nothing I shall now shill ContraPoints as they discuss adult material.

Sony snapped up the rights sorry
Our ancestors were dumbasses.
the stranger things soundtrack is coming out on VHS, presumably with visual accompaniment but you can still jack out the RCA cables for listening experience
fucking !! move right there brilliant
who is your PM going to be I still don't understand
Neither does anybody else
At the moment, everything hinges on whether a woman who will shortly be gay marrying her Catholic partner can be convinced to ally with extreme religious conservatives belonging to the Orange Order
The PM has to command a majority of MPs in Parliament
The current PM is several seats short of doing this with just the MPs of her own party, so she's trying to get a small party, the Hardline Democratic Unionist Party, to go along with her too.
If that fails, it's unlikely Corbyn will be able to persuade the DUP to join him either, so if neither can do it, another election will get called.
There are these youtube videos retro'ed out on VHS and there's a strange charm to them

At this moment May. But the word on the street is her party hates her and would like her to step down. For the good of the party. Which means it's gonna be some other conservative.
Also the projector was fucked up and the movie was a little darker than it should have been. Which was fine during daytime scenes, but a lot of that movie happens at night or in the dark and it was really hard to see.
Overall pretty good though.
Justice League still looks bad and Cyborg still has weird skinny toothpick limbs, from the trailer before the movie.

OG Box games coming to PSN
And then the Nintendo Virtual Console too
I think I finally caught a break setting up my studio room
my building is super old and the radiators are ALWAYS placed in the most inconvenient places
measured this new table we got out and it is like 1/2" too big because of the little escape valve from the radiator
DAMN!
buuuuuuut
I can place both that and the 2x2 Ikea box shelf on some 4"x4" platforms and since this desk has legs that don't have an enclosed side, I can put the desk on that side against the radiator. I'll lose the sliding drawers but I wasn't really going to use those anyways
this could free up a whole wall for K boogie to have her own shit which would be great

Lord Palmerston was still the best one. I'll fight anybody who says otherwise!
Coalition Governments are the best. I know Ireland has had some real head scratchers too.
I had an idea of putting out VHS records a few years ago but just didn't have the setup to make it
I think it's still zeitgeisty enough, I wanna get like a video toaster and a video camera if I can find one cheap and splice together found footage over hazy ambient hardware soundtrack
@skfm
I'd just like to emphasise that, though it sounds like I'm taking the piss, this is literally true.
Ruth Davidson is leader of the Scottish Conservatives, she is gay, and her partner is Catholic.
The Democratic Unionist Party, whose votes Theresa May needs, is composed of extreme evangelical Christians and is dominated by the Orange Order, a hardline anti-Catholic organisation. The DUP is to loyalist terror groups what Sinn Fein is to the IRA.
gotta keep an eye out for cheap amigas
I just open up the American app and pick my seat.
I'm assuming it's because they don't get passed through a bunch of unnecessary serial processing? but I dunno
