    FastTraxx3.jpg

I had a Fast Traxx. It was amazing because unlike my friends' RC cars, which could only go straight or reverse back and to the left, or at best turn like a regular car.

My shit could do a pivoting 360.

I remember saving up eight months of my paper route money and still not having enough to buy it once I got to the store (I was seven and only just learning the concept of sales tax)... and my Dad was like "Now you understand the value of money" and helped me with the rest.

Two days later I managed to break the stupid thing by jumping it off a ramp the way they did in the commercial. The plastic axel snapped clean in two.

My Dad bitched the sales clerk out and somehow got all the money back and got the car replaced... and to make sure I knew who was in charge he pocketed the money himself.

dude I had one of those fucking things, they were badass!

The strut broke on mine, too, after I jumped it off the embankment next to the railroad tracks, so I stuffed hand towel in the gap above the battery casing and duct-taped it in, then rallied the shit out of that thing. The only problem was when I'd drive it through a puddle - the rag would get soaked and the thing wouldn't drive for three days.

I got it as a christmas present. My brother got the hovercraft thing that came out at the same time. His sucked and was only cool on water - of which we had very little to play with, and if the wind blew it all it would push the hovercraft out into the reeds where it would get stuck, so you could either futiley run the battery down trying to free it or trudge through waist deep sludge to get it back.

Haha sucks to be him vroooooooooom

I had Crossfire. It was rad. Though I'm surprised they were ever allowed to sell it, what with all those little ball barings that a two year old could easily choke on.

Nothing more fun than a Super Soaker 30 hooked up to the garden hose, especially when you friends thought they gave you the crappy weapon.

Well it did originally come out in the 70's. Back before people gave a shit about things like lawn darts.

And that's why your kid's childhood will never be quite as fun as your own.

Hell yeah. i used to live in capitol hill just outside of cheeseman park so the fighting would almost always spread over there, and innocent bystanders and cars would be taken out with water-balloon grenades.

They were bulky, expensive, and broke just as easily as the smaller cheaper ones.

And I can remember owning 8 of the soakers in that picture and playing with guys that had another 5 shown.

I owned the yellow w/ green tank one in almost the exact center of this image.
    I broke the pump. :(

My sister-n-law still has the red/gray one directly to the right of the guy. Looks just like the purple/gray one next to him.

    And I owned this:
