I lived half my life in Mexico, and 5 de mayo is treated something like Veteran's day.

I mean, shit, yea we kicked the French out from Puebla, but the Americans came and stormed our castles, held the capital and a lot of the major cities, and took our womenz.

look, the more important issue here is that I can't get the damn ghostbusters theme out of my head

    which theme?

god damn it now you got me thinking "ooh baby it's magic.... oooh baby it's magic...."

    the original

    dodododododo

    dodododododo

I'm just hearing that as the world 1-2 music. Because I choose to.

It can be but it can also be done in a perfectly legal albeit morally corrupt manner.

However, even if it is illegal what the shit can a poor person do about it? Not much legal recourse when you can't even feed yourself.

So what you're saying is that the people who have the power to make things change for the better are responsible for making the sacrifices they need to make to ensure justice for all people, including those who are too weak to take care of themselves.

Take that shit to the Spider-Man thread where it belongs.

shit, practically any of them over Wal-Mart.

I prefer Costco. They pay very healthy wages, offer excellent benefits and reinvest a lot of their profit back into communities.

    Hey, happy birthday Munkus!

Coincidentally, one of my best friend's 21st birthday is also on Cinco de Mayo. I told him that he needs to go into a bar in the Mexican part of town and shout, "Es mi cumpleaños!" and he'll be taken care of.

Well, he's right. I hate those fucking vegens. (They're worse than vegans!)

Also he does have a pretty decent point; people are morally repulsed by the idea of killing a living thing in order to continue their own lives, but they have no problem killing and eating plants in vast quantities, despite that plants are categorized as being alive.

Really, the social glue that's holding the EU together right now is the younger cohorts. In another aspect, the digital revolution has fostered almost entirely within the youth cohort in America, while Europe fails to see such innovation due to the dominance of the academic sphere by the older, more reactionary elite who view youth innovation as a threat. (to sort of counter my argument, I guess...) I'm not going to argue about youth efficacy beyond this post. I've taken too many classes dealing with this shit to make me want to recycle it here on a penny-arcade forum.
