Does anybody have any guesses why Iron Maiden'sBest of the B Sides isn't anywhere to be found on Spotify? :? Wonder if it's the same with other streaming services.
All I can think of is possible licensing/publishing issues since so many of the tracks are covers.

New Cradle of Filth track from the forthcoming LP:
Oh and here's that Enslaved song: Storm Son vid...
My version of live tweeting an historic moment:
0:00-1:45 Nice, kinda chill, digging it
1:45-2:00 tension builds...slowly, something coming
2:00-3:15 simple distorted chords, clean vocals, couple of growls
3:45-4:15 growls more earnest, instruments keep slowly building/progressing
4:40-5:50 build up progress, drums getting heavier, you know it's coming
6:00 drums and bass punch you in face and song charges ahead for the next 3 minutes
9:00-end a nice cool down and coda that wraps things up nicely
Final verdict 8.5/10
No matter where you go...there you are. ~ Buckaroo Banzai
Speaking of awesome heavy metal, this latest 'Tank' album (from one of the camps now referring to itself as Tank, despite the lack of Algy Ward) is mighty freaking good, especially if you like modern Saxon. Just about every song is good, I listened to this once when it came out but just got buried...now I've gone back to it and it really kicks butt.
Guys, it blows my mind how many of the 'second tier' NWOBHM bands still kick ass.
And while on the subject of classic British bands, I'm so happy that Demon has drifted to their classic heavy operatic rock/metal sound over the last couple records. Not too sure how many folks in here would be into this, but good stuff, Cemetery Junction is one of their best records since the first two.
I've been listening to a bit of Black Sabbath these last few days, and zipping between all eras and line-ups. This one from the brief Ian Gillan era always surprises me with how much of an earworm it is:

Ah, the good old days when Gillan could still scream his ass off.
So after what seems like months of teaser tracks, John Frum has finally dropped their album, curiously titled A Stirring In The Noos. Whatever the funk that means!
Only just started listening to the full album just now. But if it keeps things up then it's going to be the bastard son of DEP, Gorguts and Behold the Arctopus.
I purchased a ticket a few months ago, but then won two more in a facebook giveaway. Hopefully it's a good crowd, these guys are too talented to not pull decent audiences.
It is a smaller venue though. About 200 people max.

That Cradle of Filth song rips pretty hard.

For the first time in a long while, I completely agree with an internet consensus, this is the best Dani and CoF have sounded in a decade.

For Black Metal, that intro/opening riff is down right jaunty.

I must light incense and kneel before an altar to listen
I enjoyed bandcamp's article on incantation worship bands last week:

They could have subtitled this "all of desc's favorite DM" and been accurate >_>
That's an extremely metal if kind of left-field reference on 7, too.
That's up there with the best Bal-Sagoth titles.

The new Accept album is solid, I'll have to listen to it more but I'm not sure I dug it as much as the first few with Mark.
I like it a little bit more than Blind Rage but I'm not sure if it's better then Stalingrad or Blood of the Nations

That's a real problem when you're a band that only puts out an album every 5 to 8 years.
I haven't given it a listen yet, but I will do.

Another cool Swedish album here, primal and evil blackened thrash metalz.

As long as Wolf's there, I'll still eventually buy it, regardless of frontman or lyric quality.
