But yes we still have the idea of if the camp encouraged him to leave or not.
We’ve just been guessing based upon appearance and facial. This is the first time they’ve actually mentioned his age.
Notice the dots are missing from his cheeks. I think Katie and Adam made the intentional design decision to remove those innocent/child-like marks from him as he transitions into accepting loss and growing because of it.
It's subtle, and maybe I'm reading too much into it...but I think they're too good at what they do to accidentally do this.

he's missing his blush in other night time strips, so i don't think it has to do with growing up
unless they show him during the day and they're still missing

This story is so bittersweet. I think that’s the term I want. It’s a happy sadness that comes with growth and change.
What if Linus gets mad at Malachi for throwing him the party? Becomes what if Linus leaves forever and Malachi develops significantly as a character as a result?
