Didn't the same thing happen to Brett "The Hitman" Favre?
I think his first completion was to himself
That was his first completion as a Packer. Favre's first pass for Atlanta (who drafted him) was indeed a pick six. Jerry Glanville very openly hated Favre from the beginning and never intended to give him a chance.
Mark Davis may be the only owner in the league who will show up to games wearing a team t-shirt because he's too poor to afford the nice suits the other owners wear, and I respect him for it.

Mark Davis is not poor and is not worthy of respect from anyone.
Handsome Jimmy against Detroit
Or
Marmalard vs Buffalo
Both a pretty favorable match ups.
I'm leaning Marmalard.
Hard to say. Detroit technically has a better secondary than front 7 and Jimmy G is going to be without his #1 WR, but the game should be a shoot out. Marmalard should be better, but remember the Chargers also play down to their opponent and could stink it up this week.

Oakland also re-signed Martavis Bryant to a one-year contract after cutting him not because he failed an offseason drug test but because he wasn't very good but now he's a "superb talent" according to Gruden and is totally worth bringing in even if he is facing a year-long suspension for failing said drug test.
I have to admit the Gruden sequel in Oakland is falling apart faster than I imagined. I expected it to unravel in act 2 or 3 not during the opening credits.
NFC-S has the potential to be so weird after this weekend.
Saints play Cleveland and will likely win
Bucs play Philly and will likely lose.
Panthers play Falcons, so if Panthers wins they'll be 2-0 and Falcons will be 0-2. Bucs have the tiebreaker over Saints so it'll be Panthers - Bucs - Saints - Falcons
However, if Falcons win, they all go 1-1 and tiebreakers will should mean it goes Bucs - Falcons - Panthers - Saints
Football is weird and standings are largely irrelevant early in the season
I cried so hard when I heard. Then finding out he had the clarity to shoot himself in the chest to preserve his brain...

Luckily ESPN is apparently keeping it exclusive to ESPN+, it's new online streaming platform, so nobody will be able to watch it.
I get they want to sell their new service, but that documentary looks both very good and an important cautionary tale about the dangers of football, it should be on ESPN proper.

One an 0-2 with an int and one at 0-3 with an int called back. See I’m missing a barn burner.
Secrets, lies, and tragedy. The trifecta.

I don't know what to do with my hands. Usually I use them to bury my face into. I suppose I could just clap some more?
In Buffalo they light them on fire

Pre draft when they were hyping them up it was the joke between my brother and I what I started calling them
I just referred to Mayfield as doomed
Ok it takes a lot of effort and time to make so I give you that

How did one get loose? Did a player bring it into the locker room? a trainer? an assistant? Did it sonder in there?
I can’t tell if this is meant to be literal or just Jon Gruden trying out a new folksy bullshit phrase

I guess the Chargers really don't want to risk getting back into last year's kicking woes.

Don't worry they still missed a late FG that could have made the game interesting.
