Dance upon the graves of the dead, upon your name
Die white girls, die white girls

I'm seeing Dan Ryckert play video games in a bar with a bunch of comics tonight. If anyone has any burning questions they need asked of him /drunkenly shouted at him from the audience, let me know now.
Ugh, Fincher has a commanding lead and god that series would be so boring
I even like Fincher's movies!
But at this point barring a miracle GDT is off the list and I'm left with hoping either Raimi or Mann win. Though looking at Heckerling she could be fun too. Miller has too many sequels.
But who are we kidding it'll probably be Nancy Myers. Which will, at least, be mercifully short.

Yeah, like, I'm putting WAY more effort into the silly D&D Player Character Race bracket in the tabletop thread
I've done something similar as they're doing right now for Bakacast, when I asked our audience what shows they'd like us to cover for our retro reviews.
Oh I'm by no means an enthusiast. I just enjoy playing it whenever I go to an arcade.
Also Pokemon Pinball on the Game Boy Color was really good
me either. I really like the free table that comes with pinball arcade but I suck at it. I can never break like 20 million points. usually I get like 7-12million
the only barcade in toledo that isn't Dave and busters has really bad reviews and apparently only has beat em up games which are my least favorite arcade game genre.
When I was a kid my parents were in a bowling league and rather than get a babysitter they'd just give me 5-10 bucks to play video games in the bowling alley's arcade since the entire place was taken up by the league.
I got real good at the pinball game based on the 1994 film adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. A table which, appropriate to the film's tone, blares a weird version of Edgar Winter Group's Frankenstein the entire time you play. Also a little animatronic monster would throw a ball at you during the multiball.
They also had a neogeo in there so that got the rest of my money, but I got to a point where I could spend a looooooong time on that pinball machine.

Who’s idea was it to miss pronounce Frieza?
What made you want to type mispronounce as two words?

OTHER PINBALL MEMORIES I remembered when I was like, 4 years old, my dad took me to a random arcade that we used to not go to very much at all and they had this motorcycle pinball machine where the ball could transition from the main part of the table up to the scoreboard part (I have no idea what these are actually called). You'd play with a separate set of flippers up there.
I never saw that table again but a couple weeks ago on the beastcast of all things they brought it up. Banzai Run. I've always wanted to play it again, and 30 years later I actually know what I'm looking for.
Edit: FUCK THEY'VE GOT IT AT PINBALLZ IN AUSTIN.

I've never really had any good opportunities to play specific tables enough to get good at them, but I've always loved something about pinball tables
An indie super group from around 2010, but their output has stalled massively with Jack Antanoff focusing on Bleachers and Nate Ruess doing... something?
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!

Arrested he was bound
They said there was a robbery
His pistol had been found
They marched him to the station house
He waited till the dawn
And as they led him to the dock
He knew that he’d been wronged
“You stand accused of robbery”
He heard the bailiff say
He knew without an alibi
Tomorrow’s light would mourn his freedom
Over the hills and far away
For ten long years he’ll count the days
Down at the paradise city
Where grass is green and girls pretty
