i loved how peter completely ignored the fact that women were revolted by his attitude when he was strutting and dancing

or maybe he was oblivious to it, but hey, that's cool too

The looks women gave him were the best part of that scene; it does make me wonder how he managed to score a date with Gwen.

I think all the problems with the film could have been solved in the editing room.

The Bruce Campbell cameo was fucking spectacular though. Absolutely the best part of the whole film.

The Stan Lee one felt so out of place though. Really jarring, even if you didnt know who he was. Like some random old guy turns up and says some line to Peter really randomly.

They've done it in the last two movies, what made you think they were going to break the trend? I mean, Spiderman loves America. He's a patriot. He sided with Iron Man for against Captain America for God's sake, to be on the side of the government. That's who he is.

...Yeah I really can't argue with that. Still if they'd taken out a lot of the pointless boring and unconvincing crap the action scenes - which were really good I don't care what you say - would have stood out more.

    K here's the deal
Some dude on Youtube who types like a retard said that there's a webshooting sound when the pumpkin bomb blows up on Eddie and the symbiote. Well, Youtube has a cam version of that scene, so I watched it... I think I need to watch it in theaters again or watch the DVD. So IF there really is a webshooting sound, then that'd be neat.

Well, since only a small chunk of the symbiote was left... and Venom doesn't trigger Spidey's spider-sense... and it'd be retarded to kill off a money-making character... and even though you saw Eddie's skeleton, I'd like to hope that the bomb just created an x-ray effect and that the symbiote zipped itself and Eddie away to come back another day.

But Venom isn't a "money-making character" as far as the movies are concerned. This isn't comics or even TV. There's not gonna be 500 movies, and then a hundred more in another universe and 5 different series using Spider-man and his villians. It's one story, and the next movie will be a different story. While it's not inconcieveable that a character could come back, the idea that he definitely will because he "makes money" doesn't make any sense.

The thing I really couldn't take was the random, cheesey parts.

    Spider-man does something heroic.

Random shot of 8 year old boys.

    "Awesome"

Was it really necessary to cut away from the scene to really drive home that everyone in this city fucking loves Spider-man?

I watched it the other day, it was filmed like a commercial. It was obviously a very early promo because it was definitely not theatrical.

I just saw it and thought it was pretty good.

The only thing that really bothered me was the meeting between Sand Man and Venom. I just felt that after Sand Man realized it wasn't Spider-Man he should have been like "Who the fuck are you?" to Venom instead of acting like they knew each other.

It wasn't filmed for the actual movie actually. It was an early promo trailer and that's all. I've actually gotten this info from one of the special effects guys who worked on the first movie who came to speak at my school. He told us when we asked if they had to change much after 9/11.

I agree with you, but that kind of shit was in the other two, so I don't understand why people are suddenly complaining about it.
