I picked my poll option because I didn’t see an obvious option for Miles, so I’m assuming this one is the Miles option.

this movie also very much reaffirmed my desire for a Howard the Duck animated movie

This actually makes it even better

I'm picturing a Howard the Duck who is spending time with Spider-Ham and becoming increasingly bitter about the fact that in his universe, he's the only talking animal, and he has to do real fucking detective work because nobody thinks he's cute and funny and there's all this goddamn cartoon logic all the damn time

This is basically the Chip Zdarsky run, except the world is the MU, and it rules

The tagline is "Trapped in a world he has grown accustomed to" which I will love forever

I finally managed to see this and holy shit, what a gorgeous piece of work

I'm retroactively mad it took someone this long to do an animated superhero movie that goes this far on comic book aesthetics

I was skeptical of the multiple universe part of the premise coming in, and while i still would have rather had a solo film they really did do the concept about as well as could possibly be expected

    Move spoilers
I don't remember any of the villains being spoiled in the trailers, and they were all really, really good

The Prowler was terrifying, and badass and his anti gravity shoes or whatever were awesome

And I read some of the Ultimate Spider-Man run with Miles, so I knew the deal with cool Uncle Aaron, but man this version was so much better on every level

Batman, but meaner and with more parkour was something I didn't know I needed

I want something with a similar Prowler being like a good guy, or teaming up with some heroes or something, he was amazing and going all in on the purple color scheme was a brave choice they totally nailed

oh hey, question for the people keeping up with the spider-gwen comics:

so one of my friends did pencils on a handful of issues, including some of the most recent stuff, it's high time i read them so is there a particular jumping in point you'd recommend or should i start from the beginning?

I'm not familiar with his comics and i tried to avoid most promo material before seeing this, so when he briefly showed up in the first trailer i watched like half a year ago i had just assumed he was one of the alternate universe spider-men

Wait, hotel Transylvania is genndy tartakovsky? Are they worth seeing?

I know some animation fans like them just for the animation if nothing else.

I saw the first one, it had some solid jokes in it and the animation is good.

But they are trash garbage films. Why you ask? Because the point is that its a hotel for monsters to live in away from humans. Except they have the invisible man as a B character. Hes human. He is a normal human who is just invisible. And honestly? He should be very old or dead from old age.

The monsters fear humans but hang out with one every day. This minor detail in a children's movie infuriates me to no end and has for years.

Like I said earlier, she is such a new character the only real starting point the first issue

Especially because thats where the best stuff is

not enough people talking about how cool the scorpion was

he was dope as hell!!! i didn't expect him for even a second.

so robo scorpion what talks like bane was not something i was even remotely prepared for

I actually didn't like that interpretation of that villain!

I like that they made him a minority, as Spider-villains could use the diversity, but the design just didn't work for me
