If I had a time machine that prevented the traveler from getting harmed, seeing that Black Flag / Misfits west coast tour in 1982 (the one with the story of them chasing Vince Neil of Motley Crue out of the Whiskey) would be somewhere on the list. Pretty far down the list, but somewhere on it.
It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

I did a semi deep dive reading about Trick R Treat and watching gifs and trailers (without sound because on my phone in bed) and I wonder if this would be one of my rare horror favs if I watched it because it seems like rules and consistency are important to it. Tell me friends, does this film follow its own rules and not break them?

The young huntress, who goes to school in town during the week and returns to her nomadic family’s ger, or yurt, on the weekend, has been living among eagles her whole life.
The demanding craft of eagle hunting was passed on to her by her grandfather, Matei. With him by her side, she and her eagle have even hunted wolves.
Her grandfather taught her all he knew of hunting with eagles — how to call to the bird in the sky, how to whisper to it soothingly when perched on her arm. When he died, she inherited his prized bird.
“After my grandfather’s death, I wanted to continue his way,” Zamanbol said.”

General Tagge: And what of the Rebellion? If the Rebels have obtained a complete technical readout of this station, it is possible, however unlikely, that they might find a weakness and exploit it.

Garth (reading from Benjamin's planner) 'Thursday — purchase feeble cable access show, and exploit it.'
sure "and exploit it" could be a common phrase. and sure Garth's line doesn't end there and I've cut it off to exaggerate the similarities.
but I -think- I've just blown open the biggest case of Hollywood theft since the Maltese Falcon

gen her ale eey speaking I wish trains were more common. I saw a NJ congresswoman talking about how we need more access from where I live into NYC and damn that would be nice. Lots of people make that commute every day! and it sucks!

For general commuting trains are cheaper and less of a hassle. Really both should be plentiful and available.
Blame Nixon, Ford and Carter for this. Deregulating the railroads killed any chance of competent, high speed passenger travel. You'd have to nationalize the rail system then pour hundreds of billions of dollars into upgrading it for high speed travel for it to even be possible at this point. The commercial carriers that own the rails have no reason to, since cargo doesn't need to be transported quickly.
