I should really try the other Supergiant games, since Pyre made me trust their studio. Some day!
For now, it is time to go to get coffee.
don't play Bastion last. Bastion is their first game and probably their least good game if you like pyre.
I'm not gonna claim it's a wrong opinion but some people felt Pyre was their worst game.
Hard disagree about Bastion. Game is a ton of fun to play. Has great music. And a good story.
Maz, they made 3.8 games so far. Statistically, one of them has to be their least good game. It's Bastion for me. it's a great game, an absolutely fantastic game even.
But Transistor and Pyre were better.
I wanted to like transistor but after the
part where you find the dead terrorists in the apartment building
i stopped because i was bored.
Yeah, that's one of the dips in the game.
Honestly, Transistor's Endgame could've been tighter and better.
Maybe we don’t have to rank them in a listicle and they are all good
Sure, but there's then nothing wrong with saying "I wouldn't start with bastion, it's not as good as the one you already played"
I mean it's wrong though
but they are very very different
because, as their are true saints too pure for this world, after their success with bastion, they still wanted to shake things up and be innovative and not just make the same game again
I just beat the Heart on Ascension 7 with a goddamn Shiv deck.
I took the 100 gold from the Whale and then on floor 3 walked into a store and bought Apotheosis. From there I lucked into some really good Shiv relics and cards. 43 cards is too much; I should have been more selective. In Act 4 I lucked out by getting Pentagraph just before the Heart. I needed that extra 25 health because I only had 5 health left when I won. On the other hand, my Apotheosis was on the bottom of my deck against the Heart, so it wasn't ALL amazing luck.
I beat the heart on Ascension 9 with a deck relying on Envenom and shivs, plus two Catalyse+. Poison ticking for 100 damage on turn 3 then Wraith Form and Ghost in a Jar to wait it out. It felt good.
with halo coming to PC - and me with the BEAST here - and now feeling nostalgic about bastion, I think getting a controller for it would be a good purchase
I love the art and music/sound design in Transistor but Bastion has better game play by a mile. I can't get into Pyre again, the fantasy basketball just bounces off me. Hades game play wise is amazing. Art is great. And I love the world anyway as a big Greek mythology nerd.
I keep just playing Transistor and just getting bored with the game play and I am saddened by that.

Also I totally misread your post because I need glasses!
I dig my hole you build a wall
I dig my hole you build a wall
One day that wall is gonna fall
Gon' build that city on a hill
Gon' build that city on a hill
Some day those tears are gonna spill
So build that wall and build it strong cause
We'll be there before too long
Gon' build that wall up to the sky
Gon' build that wall up to the sky
Some day your bird is gonna fly
Gon' build that wall until it's done
Gon' build that wall until it's done
But now you've got nowhere to run
So build that wall and build it strong cause
We'll be there before too long
I set my sail
fly the wind it will take me
back to my home, sweet home
Lie on my back
clouds are making way for me
I'm coming home, sweet home
I see your star you left it burning for me
Mother, I'm here
Eyes open wide
feel your heart and it's glowing
I'm welcome home, sweet home
I take your hand
now you'll never be lonely
not when I'm home, sweet home
I see your star, you left it burning for me

I figure that was starting the final dungeon amd I was uninterested in seeing what happened next.

Could be printing this way faster with less detail, but I figure I'll only be printing this once as a terrain centerpiece so why not go nuts on quality.

How much power does the printer use?
I'd always presumed they were pretty power-hungry devices, what with all the high temperature heaters and such.
I feel like the gameplay in Supergiant's games has only gotten better. I particularly liked how Pyre's accelerating plot helped to generate tension and prevent you from establishing a routine with a set cast of characters.
Also my favorite revolutionary is Rukey Greentail. He got a particularly good arc in my playthrough, with us losing to his rivals early on and him later allowing someone to ascend in his stead before finally making it out as one of our last ascensions because dangit he put his time in.
I love how much the underworld of Pyre is such a strange and dangerous non-place, and I like that they never let you catch a glimpse of the society above. Reminds me a bit of Avernum in that. You know there are millions of people who aren't even thinking of this place in their day-to-day, but it's life and death for you.
Edit: Also I love Transistor's gameplay! I played it twice through back-to-back. I liked playing it as a beat-em-up where I could pause to adjust when I needed to.

The power supply puts out 24V. There are 12V versions as well but they mostly take longer time to get up to operational temperature.

Until Dawn isn't the same people, is it?
and one of my top game moments ever is when I got to the level where Zia was singing
I just stopped and listened, for like ten minutes
hmm hmm hmm mmm-mmm hmm-mm-hmmmmm
Kid just sits and listens for a while.
EDIT: Tazal terminals comes close, though. What a super impactful, yet super simple, way to do poignancy and player choice.
I did have Shuriken, yes, but still.
Better still, so far we have two. And no sign of anyone else.

it's by Supermassive games, it was a joke.

there's few things sadder than someone seeing fireworks and hearing the rockets and shells they grew up with
...but that seems to be how that company is with their games in general
It's kind of why I don't like live poetry readings. As sentences they always sound less ambitious than the enormity of the stylized words on the page

I liked the gameplay in Transistor. Along with pretty much everything else about it.
I liked it too! I just didn’t love it.
Fair
I'm a big fan of games that let me pause and plan out a bunch of moves, then watching them play out. Which was exactly Transistors thing.

We could have left him.
as you pick him up, I can see it now. The Kid in one corner, and Zulf in the other. Ain't much of a fight.
