With my trusty Batman Handbook at my side, I have decided to tackle Oblivion as Batman/Bruce Wayne.
GOLDEN RULE NUMER 1 - Protect the innocent
GOLDEN RULE NUMER 2 - Never kill another person. I'v taken the liberty of taking down an enemy with a punch counts as them being knocked out. In regards to monsters, goblins and such it's a case by case basis really
GOLDEN RULE NUMER 3 - Never walk around in broad daylight dressed in your vigilante gear. Be polite and freindly in the daytime, dressed like any normal person and stay out of sight and commit your deeds in the proper garb at night.
GOLDEN RULE NUMER 4 - Batman is not a creature of magic, but, does have acsess to various items that are created via scientific methods. Spells can only be used if they are read from scrolls or activated via potions. Basically, I have a flare spell and heal spell that I'm not planning to use. Scrolls that make him jump extremley high, for example will replace something like his grapple line.
GOLDEN RULE NUMER 5 - If in doubt, ask yourself,
'What would Batman do?'NAME - Bruce Wayne
RACE - Redguard
CLASS - DarkKnight
BIRTHSIGN - The Shadow
STR - 50
INT (Favoured) - 35
WILL - 30
AG - 40
SP - 40
END (Favoured) - 55
PER - 30
LCK - 50

PROGRESS THUS FAR
Follwed the king and his Blades though the secret passegeways, subduing any assailants with swift punches to the face. After we took our seperate paths, I decided to collect any gear I could muster and fasioned a crude set of armour what helped me get by the assortment of vermin and undead that I encountered. I managned to subdue most goblins I came across via stealth and melle attacks, two were taken down after pushing a pile of logs into them and making my way through to the next goblin encampment. Two were stealthily taken down via knocking out, but two had to be fought face to face as they heard the commotion. I decided it was ethical (aka, would Batman do it) to take their gold nuggets and gems and redistribte them to the masses later, as I would need money to legally purchase all the gear I will need later on.
After the king's demise, I feel it is my goal to track down who planned this assasination and bring them to justice, also, track down 'Jauffre' at Wynon Priory and give him the King's amulet, as per his dying request. After making a quick escape through the sewers, Bruce Wayne emerges and remembers to don his civillian clothing as to try to blend in as a normal civillian.
THINGS TO DO
- Avenge death of the King by bringing the assasins to justice
- Take amulet to Jauffre
- Make enough money (legally) to purchase an abode nearby some sort of cave structure
- Furnish said cave with any and all equipment I will possibly need to handle any situation
- Since Batarangs are not available, enchant ranged weapons that can disintergrate an enemy's weapon, stun them, blind them, etc but not kill them (any attack that drops an opponent via a weapon blow that is not a punch is considered a kill)
- Create a uniform that will help me blend into the darkness and strike fear into my opponents whilst protecting my identity and only wear it at night. During the day, act as a normal person in regular clothing and don't arouse suspicions
- If possible, in place of the Batmobile, find and aqquire a black horse to serve as prefered method of conveyance while in costume
- Brood
I'll update this thread with my progress and screenshots (if someone can tell me how to take screenshots, I can't seem to get printscreen to work). Hopefully I'll be diving off rooftops into crowds of thugs and vigalante-ing it up very soon, possibly finding out what thugs hanging around warehouses know about velociraptors too. The next step now though is probably make some money and aqquire some basic gear I can use as the 'vigalante' outfit.
Batman away!

Such as... the Brotherhood suit? :P
Didn't Batman kill somebody once during the comic? Just pretend the old dude is that guy.
Although a few loopholes probably exist. Killing the Arena champion gets you the quest, but that wouldn't work in this case.. something similar.
I did spend 10 minutes just checking out the the landscape as far as the eye can see, before a wolf decided that my leg was his next juicy meal.

Oh, and Bruce ...god speed. God speed.

No
Batman doesn't kill
That's in the 'Things to do' section of the OP.
The general idea of this run is to awnser the question of 'What would Bruce Wayne do if he was in this world/situation?' I was considering using and making mods, but I want to see how far I can get like this, plus this is only my first run through of the game so I want to be a 'clean' one.
Good luck on your quest.
Also make sure to brood extra.
Also, is punching the only way to subjugate people sans killing? I've never played Oblivion, so my apologies in that regard. I just think it's an interesting thread, so I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.
He can use his detective abilities to find one of the secret dark brotherhood members and confiscate the armor.
Actually you're still killing them. >_>
What?
Magic exists in Batman's world.
What are you talking about?
Simple... He talks to the old man and lets him know whats up. Together they fake the old man's death that way batman can infiltrate the criminal base. (think that one episode where he went to that jail in the dessert)
PUNCHING: By my logic, in this game, punching someone and making them drop always means they are knocked out. I'm happy taking that liberty for now

Also, whip up a mod to create a Bat birthsign. Signs aren't that hard to make.
And you need a Robin. Maybe a summoned skeletal Robin, but a Robin none the less.
He should totally be a villain.
Get the brotherhood thingy that way.
No he wasn't
Do you actually know who Batman is
Yes. In fact, I know more about Batman than just the movies
Oh hey, so do I
Batman wasn't in the League of Assassins
No, he was in the League of Shadows
The League of Shadows is only in Batman Begins and Batman:TAS
he was only in it in Begins
But I've always pictured Bruce as a Breton.
How should I chronicle this journey?
Did anyone else think Emperor Joker was fantastic? A little off tiopic there but it's my topic so whatever.
Plus, you should of heard my ideas for a 'Peter Venkman run'
Spill the beans!
You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. What a great idea. It's going to be a little difficult sticking with all of your RP restrictions, but it'll be worth it. Sorry, I don't have any info on screenshots.
And, yes: Venkman run. Do tell. 8-)

Well there is that, and there was discussion of using the enchanting and spellmaking abilities to somehow fasion a lighthingbeam/paryalise/levitaion spell and a spell that would help capture souls. The idea would to make all of your cash by hunting down ghosts, putting them in soul gems and selling them. The overall goal of the game would be to reasearch as much into the occult as possible and try to protect the world from any nasty spirits that may casue havock. I'v not much knowledge of the crafting system and spellmaking and such, gust a general idea from the first game, but after some discussion from freinds I'm pretty sure this could be done.
There was also a 'Rocky' run idea were you spent all your time fistfighting and jogging around to increase your hand to hand and endurance and became arena champion via fistfighting alone. That is a very breif idea so I'm a little shy of details on that one.
Burger King run? Collect as much beef as possible, dress all fancy like and sneak around, trying to hit enemies with meat before they spot you. See how many 'points' you cna get before the end of the game. A 'point' is scored by making the enemy aware of your presence by throwing meat at it.
