Dog Clipper recs?

mtsmts Dr. Robot KingRegistered User regular
So our new dog requires haircuts.

Other than paying someone to do it, can anyone recommend a decent set of clippers that aren't like some $300 professional set.

Obviously willing to spend some money but if there is a cheaper one that works above its pay level, i am curious

Wahl Professional Animal SS Pro Pet Dog Clipper Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016O9VHKC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_QHiZCbAJ3CVSX

79$. I've used them for two years to shave uncooperative cats when necessary. Work well, uses standard changeable blade that doesn't get too hot and comes with oil, brush and a couple of guards.

    They're also pretty quiet.

What dog breed? Some have specific requirements for grooming or you ruin the coat forever.

Gorgeous pupper. There's a general "no shave" rule for dogs with a double coat and then a few breeds that need to be specially groomed with scissors.

I'm not a groomer but have friends who have worked in the field.
