I watched the Quick Look for Magic the Gathering Arena
and the ol' addiction came popping up
not two hours later I've spent five dollars on the starter deal and had begun building a black-white deck to tide me over before I can scrape enough artifacts to play esper

my one hot take re MtGA so far: the advanced card styles are REALLY lackluster, especially compared to hearthstone. the faux 3d effect does nothing to motivate me to get them, monetarily or otherwise
see i would consider hearthstone's to be even more garbage than them
hearthstone puts a gaudy, ugly gold shade overtop of the card, and then throws some photoshop effects over top of the art in an annoying and distracting way that the card art clearly wasn't designed for
