Two Red Lobsters. Hits folks behind her when it starts up. Hits folks through walls. Damages and DoTs. Anti heals. Heals the Queen. Perfectly balanced.

JUSTICE RAINS FROM A-AAAAAGHHH
Okay... I knew there wasn't a map this time but this is very light on content. I hope this isn't an early warning that they can't sustain the hero/map 9 week schedule.
S6 is going to have two maps with the new game mode, and they're clearly positioning that as their hail mary re-launch. That's also the day it goes on Game Pass. But until then they're going to have to take the L this season.
That's a bug, not a balance issue.

-I appreciated that the Genji deflected the Rein's firestrike so it completely missed the Rein, dashed above the Rein's head, looked down and completely whiffed his shirukens. This reflects my gameplay experience with Genji.
-Lucio's skin is cool
-Beach Doomfist is awesome
...and if I didn't just happen to finish earning 1,000 gold from weeklies the other day, I would've skipped this BP entirely. I'll put the gold into it because I want a mythic skin for my main (even if I hate those crossbows on her guns), but for the next 3-4 seasons I guess I'll be out of luck. I absolutely refuse to give Blizzard any money for what they've done to this game.
If my experience of OW2 were as positive as my experience of OW1, I probably would have paid cash money for every battle pass since launch. Instead, I've just been waiting for it to improve - to at least get back to as good as OW1 was.
I wait, still.
Because I don't trust Blizzard, I'm assuming Tracer's mythic is still locked behind the battlepass, you just unlock the stages, which makes this season even more of a weak link if they can't even go "hey we're fucking liars about what our 200+ team is capable of, have this mythic skin for free, sooooorry /BPExec apology. Otherwise they would have put something in the trailer like how the Ana and Doomfist skin can be "earned."
That'll cost money.
until it's fixed in the game, it is in fact a balance issue. maybe not intentional, but it still needs to be taken into consideration by players, especially if we're specifically talking about how to play around her as she currently exists

Ah fuck this.
FUCK THESE FUCKING MOTHER FUCKERS.
The inability to fade or wraith when trapped or stuck with something is actually good, but I wish it carried through for Sombra and Tracer too.
And lol, lmao even, that the one character who didn't need her spread increased actually got spread increase.
Yeah, “bug” implies it’s something they are actively fixing.
The mobility shutdown at that range might be too much though. I feel for Tracer mains who get fucked over by this while also being directly nerfed. And she's their Mythic hero? Weird choice to fix the bug and not adjust her numbers back down to be the same value.
This will let him two-tap a Tracer from 30 yards. Of course Genji and Reaper and Sombra will all be able to survive Mag 2.0 + a body shot, but Tracer? Yeah man, fuck Tracer let's make sure Mag 2.0 does just enough damage so a body shot will kill her if she doesn't use her highest-value cooldown ability to escape it and make it so she can't even use that fuckimg ability and nerf her damage too while we're in here yeah... 'Cause fuck Tracer.
"Think you'll be opening that wallet now, Mister Fuck Blizzard?"
Not today, Satan.

I refuse to give Blizzard money right now on principle. They could release a promo where I get to literally sleep with the hero of my choice made incarnate and I wouldn’t give them any money.
They could fix the matchmaker and MMR. That would make a huge difference.
If I was just having fun as consistently with OW2 as I did in OW1, I'd be supporting it all the way.
What is it you want from them exactly? Should they not be making matchmaking changes? The post directly preceding yours is asking for matchmaking changes.
Oh I want it fixed. Imagining that Blizzard 2023 will fix it - particularly when they've said they have or are fixing it - is like believing Lucy when she assures you she's going to hold the football steady.
Fool me once, motherfuckers.
Definitely regret using the Watchpoint pack currency on the Battlepasses now
Such reasonable prices based on the high quality and joyous replayability of the PvE content shown thus far. And of course, if there's one company I'd trust to sell me a game called Overwatch, and definitely not just remove it from my hard drive years later, and then update their EULA to say I can't sue them for doing that, it's Blizzard Entertainment.*
$40 can get the fuck out of here

And a Game Informer piece about one of the missions:
https://www.gameinformer.com/preview/2023/06/12/exclusive-first-hands-on-with-the-pve-story-missions
Three missions, each reportedly around half an hour long, for $15 w/ battle pass. I had thought they intended to drip-feed this stuff over multiple seasons, but clearly they decided to go for a bigger splashier launch. My guess is they felt they had to do that because the negativity around the game had reached a boiling point. The PvE event sounds like a hero mission sans-talents, which I expect is what they'll probably do every season moving forward.
Honestly, if OW2's launch had included everything up to this point, it would have been well received. Comparing this to what we had in 2021 makes it start to feel like a sequel. But I think it's going to take quite a while for them to reach even a neutral point in public perception. The negative sentiment surrounding OW2 has taken on a life of its own at this point.
The language is very specific that you get access to the Invasion PvE stuff, I think it's called. Next story bit? That'll be another fifteen bucks - twenty if you're Canadian!
It's not forever, it's the Invasion missions - permanent as in they're not tied to the season. It's a bundle with the missions being valued at $5, probably sold separately for $5-10.
Why did you think the Watchpoint Pack included future story missions? They were very clear about what you got for that purchase.
Come on, when you pay for a pre-release bundle you will get exactly what's on the tin and nothing more. If they bought it expecting to also receive future content for free that was not listed anywhere in the promotion, that's on them.
Yeeeeah. This is exactly what I expect given their... monetization strategy thus far. Charitably, it'll be available for everybody for the season, and back for like, Archives or whatever, but I don't know that I'd be that optimistic. Three different missions, plus apparently some variation of the Uprising event all at the same time... each with four difficulties and clocking in at 20-30 minutes? Even with the lol-matchmaking needed since it's PVE, that still seems like it could be stretching things, especially when it seems like a much saner strategy would be to dole this stuff out consistently and constantly instead of one big dump to rebuild trust and expectations. Can't help but think it's to justify charging for it.
It is becoming clear that the Watchpoint pack was them emptying out that account.
I often felt guilty only having paid the launch price for OW1 given all the years and time I played it with only ever having purchased loot boxes once during an early event before realizing how terrible that was.
Because of that I could forgive the awful season passes if the rest of their monetization wasn’t so terrible (like having a season pass but it not including the best skins in it, two theirs of credits, or this fresh new bullshit paywalling a game mode that isn’t even the game mode that was promised).
