it's weird that zack snyder went after that guy specifically given that that dude apparently really likes zack snyder's movies? like, he's so eager to fight back against critics that he just sicced his fanboys on this dude that is like, "I think batman v superman is great!"

I mean, dude seems to be rolling with it just fine, but hell, dude, feels like it should be enough that you get to do a four hour cut of your movie, you know? he won this fight, already

Glancing at his Justice League review he did compare it to a cartoon and considers it a good-bad movie, so I guess that really stuck in Snyder's craw for *checks notes* nearly three years.

Like, I'm imagining that trope where somebody hears something devastating and part of the sentence echoes in their head while the background goes black.

Which is insane because that’s like the nicest thing most critics could say about the film. There was so much worse said about it and all of his other films, you’d think he’d be used to it by now

I won't claim to have cracked how Snyder's brain works, but I imagine he would have seen that as a backhanded compliment. When you believe you're making Big Tough Action films, being compared to Saturday morning cartoons was probably a slap in the face. "Good sport" is not a description I would associate with him.

    Okay I’m just catching up

The Suicide Squad character reveals we’re interesting, guaranteed some of those are stunt casting and lots of those people aren’t in the movie long. I’m actually excited to see James Gunn do what he did with the Guardians, and play around with the more villainous angle more. If there’s anyone who can make “the Dirty Dozen but with supervillains” concept work, I think it is him

The Batman trailer is living up to my hopes for it, although I do wish his bat cave looked a little more batlike, and cavelike. I’m very stoked about the cast, I think Pattinson is a talented actor who can chew on scenery, and I’m hopeful to see a more detective-y Batman, although that brief fight was unedited and framed in a way I quite enjoyed, so hopefully what action there is will also stand up to scrutiny!

I’m vastly more interested in The Batman than I am in pretty much any upcoming Marvel picture (with the possible exception of Shang Chi) and I think that’s kind of exciting! Been a while, certainly

A similar thing happened with Aaron Diaz, the creator of Dresden Kodak, he went off a someone for giving a negative review of the comic but the actual review was positive?

I was fully committed to not giving a shit about superhero movies in general but damn Batman looks cool and Pattinson looks unhinged and that's great.

I am in the business of saving lives.

What I love best about this nonsense with Snyder and that critic is that the people defending Snyder are shredding that critic for his original review.

THEY FUCKING HATE THE MOVIE TOO!

"Josstice" League is not Snyder's movie, so why THE FUCK do they care what his review said?

There's an early episode of How Did This Get Made? with Chelsea Peretti as the guest, and most of the episode she's talking about how hot and magnetic she found (then unknown) Oscar Isaacs. Much later they gave her a Howdy Award for predicting Isaacs's huge success as an actor.

"Karen" as TV/film fodder is already being driven into the goddamn ground

We should merely consider ourselves lucky that nobody tried to make an "OK, Boomer" sitcom about a gen-z-er moving into his grandfather's retirement community or whatever

This is one of those "shows a bit too much" trailers, but it's not exactly the kind of movie you're gonna be watching for the surprises and twists or anything. TW for blood, I suppose? 12 Hour Shift starring Angela Bettis, who kind of makes it a definite watch for me. And Mick Foley?? Yeah, I'm definitely in.
