Looking for a cheap car in NorCal

My current daily driver was in an accident, and its beyniod my ability and funds to have repaired right now. So I'm looking at selling it (a '90 240sx hatchback) and pick up something cheap to DD me.

I'm thinking along the lines of an MR2 (1st gen, or a 2nd gen if its cheap enough), maybe an RX-7, something along those lines. 4 cylinder (or rotary) RWD fun cars.

I've scoured all the local craigslist, ebay yields nothing cheap, and I havn't really found anything else. Anyone know of any other places I should look?

P.S. I've checked autotrader, cars.com, carsoup, and a few other of the major used car sites already.

rotarys are a bitch to take care of and mr2s are a bitch to work on, try getting a Z31 300zx, or a miata

Bay Area craigslist is a good one to check. RX-7 Forums is another.

rotarys are nice but they are shit for daily drivers, they consume gas like no other and rotarys are not very reliable
