I remember dealing with those in one of the really early versions of DirectX. Such a pain to actually use. The whole point of triangles is that if you take any 3 points they will always form a triangle. Even the degenerate case of the points being colinear doesn't really cause any problems.
But with a quad that 4th point has to be chosen very carefully to be coplanar with the other 3.
Yeah. Triangles are much easier since they are always in a plane. The Saturn was so oddball. It could do more graphically than a Playstation, but it didn't have very good full motion video.
The only way you have a queue is if you're playing as dps. I never waited as a healer. Or you're on the one server without exploding high population.
yeah but now you're playing as a healer
I enjoy it. And since I took scholar to 80 I have summoner at 80. Also, I just gather and craft and have no interest in raiding. The most combat intensive stuff I do is treasure maps.
Nobody has tried to make a scame console based on the Magnavox Odyssey and Fairchild Semiconductor Channel F yet.
Who owns those these days
All the consoles and home pcs prior to the 6502 cpu (roughly) just aren't any fun to play even with nostalgia. Once you get to the PET or NES or equivalent then you get some stuff which is still interesting.
It was mostly the introduction of capable graphics chips IMO. The Atari 2600 for example was 6502 based but didn't include either a framebuffer or a sprite chip and nobody cares about 2600 games. The NES added a (quite capable for the time) sprite chip, the C64 added a bit of both and those are considered classics
I assume the Atari 2600 was like "OK, what can we use the two players, two missiles and a ball sprites that we have available at once to make something?" followed by "Hey, we can sort of reuse the sprites as long as no more than two are on the same horizontal scanline so we can do more with that?" followed by "oh god, why is this hell? Why did I choose this job?"
The hardware for the 2600 was designed to support Pong and Combat. Anything else was a happy accident.
I care about some 2600 games like Pitfall, Frogger, Defender, and Berserk. When they programmed within it's limitations, it was good. The more ambitious games sucked.
Gremlins on the 2600 was actually good. So was Spiderman.

Props to Atari though even in the 80s for going with Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre games. (I mean not "Atari" but whoever saw the future 40 years too early)
The ET game was horrible. Much of the games are in a landfill.
It amazes me when people talk about the size and scale of the US like we should be this massive population but like "na, there's just a shitton of desert people don't realize and we bury the worlds best electric car, old video games, and hookers there"
I still click paypal/venmo/whatever "tip jars" on youtube channels I like.
I used to do it for webcomics back in the day.

I wikipedia'ed Porky's since I've never seen it and someone actually rendered the word it as capital-P Penis in the text and it links to a wikipedia article about the Human Penis
the movie was the 5th highest grossing movie of 1980-whatever and made 160M on a 5M budget

It's fucking NUTS. I can't remember if it was in response to Caddyshack or if Caddyshack was the OG, but like Bill Murray was in one of them, and one of them had a Mac and Me.
There's shit from the 80s that will make you think The Matrix is real.
Because all 2600 graphics were drawn by just changing registers like this there was a minimum width to any given feature, eg by the time the next instruction executed you'd be like 2 pixels ahead. So you draw by counting clock cycles and changing the output register manually after right right number of clocks elapse

I’m sure it’s easier for healers but I’m not taking my white mage into content I haven’t done before, I’m too scared
Also in my eternal five minute wait not even any other dps showed up in my queue, so it’s literally impossible to find anyone for it ever
If you don’t put an “I love Neco she is the most beautiful and best at everything” option then it’s a total failure of a poll
we'll see what happens.
Oh and it also to win the poll

Pretty obscure fact, didn't think you'd know that.
I could go for a cup.

Didn't that get excavates a couple of years ago?

The guy - Boyd Gaines- has won four Tonys and went to Juilliard
The woman was Kim Cattrall
