Doest the Tourist mechanic mean you can basically put all Tourist Cards in a deck and play cards from all classes?

Banning a card outright is some serious You Fucked Up stuff.
Wow. Yeah, definitely.
Anyone noticed a difference yet? I was under the impression that the bigger problem is Doomkin.
Whelp had like a 70% mulligan win rate, which is absurd. Doomkin is likely not as big of a problem when it's not being enabled by Whelp getting them ramped up so fast. Watching Cantelope stream a number of games last night, I don't think I ever saw him face a single Druid in top 1k legend.
So at least in the immediate aftermath, Druid appears to be largely gone. We'll have to see in time what people replace Whelp with and how the deck performs without its best opener. I wonder if people will try going back to old school Wild Growth for ramp. It's the same mana cost, but it can't (potentially) be tutored by Take to the Skies, doesn't give them a tempo token for helping against early aggro, and reduces the critical mass of dragon synergy in the deck for payoffs (e.g., Fye). It does work better as a late game draw, though, so that's something.

Each class only has one tourist. There's a rotation of each class being able to include only one other class' cards, but I don't remember specifically which classes are all tied together. I think DK can play Shaman cards, Shaman can play Demon Hunter cards, and so on, until you get to Warlock, which can play DK cards.

But doesn't the DK Tourist card enable you to play the Shaman Tourist Card, which enables you to play the DH Tourist card, etc?

The Marin is Azeroth’s hottest new Tourist attraction! Each class gets one Legendary Tourist card that lets them vacation to another class during deckbuilding. Put your Tourist into your deck and their destination class’s Perils in Paradise cards get instantly added to the deckbuilding interface, letting you put them into your deck like your main class cards—except for the destination class’s Tourist card; just one vacation at a time.

Oh, I see what you're saying, but no, Duke 2.0 covered it. Only your own class' Tourist works.

Ran into someone playing Reno druid tonight. They ramped to 9 mana on turn 5. On turn 6 (10 mana) they played Rheastrasza and some other dinky thing with the rest of their mana. On turn 7 I killed them with Handbuff Paladin. That was fun.

No, the Slice of Bread is an unplayable card in your hand. When you generate the second Slice of Bread, any minion cards between the two of them get put into a new spell alongside the Bread cards - Minion Sandwich, a 2 mana spell that summons all the minions that were stuffed into the sandwich.
I just played a BG game where my opponent had a Tarecgosa with an attack so large that when it attacked my minions it HEALED them
Funny that they still haven't fixed the overflow bugs after all these years.

We all know that damage/healing is just a big circle and there's a line where going too far one way swings you back to the other side. That's just science.

I saw that card in the Rarran vs Day9 showmatches and although the decks were obviously bad, this specific card looked really good. I mean, at worst it's a draw 2 cards for 1 mana on turn 7.
It's interesting to compare it to its predecessor:
Per cost, the draw card option has been improved, which I think aligns with the overall power creep of card draw in the last 7 years.
However, the armor gain was significantly nerfed. Team 5 probably wanted to be conservative there since Druid armor gain has been out of control at various times (including when Branching Paths was standard!). That aspect of the card seems pretty weak, but you never know with all the mana cheating and ramp that goes on.
Branching Paths seems to me like it was overall better, since it was useful in most Druid deck types in its era. Aggro/tempo decks could play it for the +attack or refill, control liked it for all 3 aspects. Sleep feels reserved for slow decks only. Even with the power creep since Kobolds, I think Branching Paths would still see play today if it were in Standard.

Blizz reportedly not having a new board come out with this expansion.

Now if they were taking that extra time saved from not making a new board to make the game not run so sluggishly, I'd be totally on board, but I don't think that's going to be happening.

Though imagine packing a third of your deck with bodies of non-matching synergies
you mean the average deck this thread makes???

It's just weird to see them go:

And then remove the frills that were kind of unique about the game rather than lean in for one last go round.
