What's the chat opinion on Bosch? I've been using them for home tools, been pretty happy with them although yeah not the toughest tools. I use Bauer at work, because I inherited those tools.

February 72 and then Dracula starts up in April

72 was a big year, you get these two
    Defenders
    Luke Cage
    Adam Warlock
    the return of Captain Marvel
    The Cat
    Night Nurse

    wild times

credeiki you can ignore this if you don't want to replace your memories of bbc sherlock with pure cringe, but in case you do, this slid across my TL again, as it does every few months. Yes this is an unmodified, uncut clip from the show.

man the last page of the last chat was a rollercoaster of emotions for me

@Chanus pls keep me appraised of your horror journey. I've never read Werewolf by Night and don't know what to expect at all. I'm super excited to hear what you think about Tomb of Dracula because I remember it getting pretty raw at points.

But, as the prophets say, there ain’t no mountain high enough—so I’ve essayed the work here. I hope you enjoy your whacked seal.
Thank you for your words on eating. After weeks of ship’s biscuit they were especially welcome. I should tell you, as Mrs. Leavitt would, that it’s customary to send letters that can be opened without ruining the seal, but I appreciate your innovation more than I can say.

I get a lot of Ryobi stuff and it's held up well. I actually go in and lube/oil shit though, which is necessary for the lower end tools.

I also really like the harbor freight stuff, if you add a couple hundred to it from Swag Offroad it becomes legitimate tools for half the cost of name brand, but you've got to do a little welding and you'll need an angle grinder.

It's interesting the stuff to me that holds up in my brain as "this was good" and I never watch it again, vs the stuff I loved and/or hated that I regularly watch on backed up media

damn I wish I had more Archive 81 to watch

so in the meantime gonna rewatch Legion. Damn are the first few episodes of this show just in a caste so far above normal TV. All hanging out with The Prisoner and The Mighty Boosh. And the rest of the show is good too. But it really feels like most of the first season was written as its own thing then got the goofy Marvel related elements welded on as a concession to getting such a weird show actually produced. I wonder what that original composition was like.

man there's a lot of stuff like that for me. shows or movies that I will certainly never want to watch again but were worth the experience. The movie Naked Lunch immediately comes to mind.

Legion was really cool and trippy and a good fit for FX. I like a lot of what was done with the expanded x-men franchise

tonight is one of those nights where i made rice & bean burritos with leftover rice and, as i'm adding beans to sauteed onions, i realize there is only one tortilla left.
my partner gets a thicc rice and bean burrito; i am now eating my beans & rice bowl with sad cheese on top.

I like Bosch and Milwaukee for corded tools, most of my stepdad’s stuff he bought in the 70s and 80s is either one or the other and they’ve held up well

This is the story of The Good Toaster and the day it made carnitas

An entire dutch oven containing a 8 pound pork shoulder in a toaster oven??? Why yes, The Good Toaster can do it. Yes The Good Toaster is dirty. It is a workhorse. Yes the timer says 14 HOURS.
    r30d7qgt1f06.jpg

14 hours later, it emerges, absolutely packed in there, rolled in dried chilies

Lard and defatted cooking liquid are used to fry, then sauce the carnitas as a finishing step

I'll admit I'm also totally partial to the Bosch color scheme and design aesthetic. To which, if good for home use, fantastic! I'm not building condos or anything.

Playing Hitman 3 on gamepass, getting frisked by guards I've found that firearms and blades bad. But several crowbars, a pipe wrench, and some rat poison is cool.

At one point I was working part-time as a gofer/office assistant in the mill’s maintenance department

We bought DeWalt cordless tools by the pallet

Not because they were particularly well-made, but because we didn’t want to have 5 different standards of batteries lying around.

Also our dudes were very rough on equipment

I taught myself how to do some basic tool repair because the dumbass millwrights kept cutting through the cords on their angle grinders and it was a lot cheaper to just replace the cord than to buy a whole new grinder.

    I still like BBC Sherlock!

I watched the first couple of seasons and they were batting 2 solid episodes, 1 bad episode each time. Which ends up feeling like a much worse ratio then it sounds like on paper. But when the show works, it's fun.

Our chihuahua peed on one of the blankets and then while I was putting that one in the wash she peed on the other blanket so now I'm waiting for a blanket to finish drying before I have to get up in six hours.

I forgot to put food in Talisker's timed feeder last night, so she woke me up at half five

I've since decided to log on and push through an early day so I can either have a nap at lunch or finish at three

There are a million stories in the naked city

Unfortunately I am neither in a city nor am I currently naked

Though I did take a long hot shower and I dropped some eucalyptus oil in there first because my sinuses are acting up
