    Of these choices, the only reboot that has a good reason to get an update is Xena, mostly because presumably now they could just make the subtext of the Xena/Gabrielle relationship text. Also, isn't Daria already getting a new season, or something?

    See I am absolutely all about a reboot of Buffy, but a) it got a proper ending and b) I think on its own it wont be strong enough to compete in the hectic world of 2020s tv shows for the same shitty reasons as the failure to launch of the explicitly gay Xena

    So you switch it up on 'em

    You start with Angel, teasing the audience with insinuations to Sunnydale related lore, and then you do Buffy as a spinoff to Angel

    Yeah, Javier Grillo-Marxuach wrote a pilot script but Rob Tapert, who owns the rights to Xena, didn't like it for whatever reason and shut the project down.
