    We're also thinking Randolphe (board game bar) on Thursday and karaoke at the weird golden statue place (Pang Pang Karaoke, I have just booked it) on Saturday night.

    Friday is still pretty open if people have specific Montreal tourism they'd like to do, but I do have one suggestion:

    The Biodome is effectively a sphere that contains otters, penguins, and a bunch of other animals that aren't those two. They try to make each zone mimic their actual ecosystems, so it's a pretty excellent zoo as far as those go.

    As a guy who’s been to the Biodome about a hundred thousand times, it is pretty cool, and they have this new mezzanine they opened a year or two ago for extra upstairs educational fun!

    I remember liking the biodome when I visited (Is it really 11 years ago?!). They also had a botanical garden not too far away with some sweet bonsais as far as I recall.

    We're in the process of finding a new karaoke bar because Pang Pang no longer serves alcohol and allows minors in and that is just such a weird vibe for a place that has luxurious golden statuary

    Woo!! My room is full but there may be space in one of the other ones. Comicon for Saturday and we may need to pre-book Biodome now as they reserve in advance (since the pandemic?) but the timeslot isn't selected yet on the latter, tbd.

    welp, I'm glad I didn't commit and buy tickets or anything and now I really can't go. just had a pretty major car malfunction that is going to be a significant cost to repair, gonna be living on ramen and tuna fish for a while here

    If we do Montreal again next time it will very specifically be to revisit this place, I feel

    Beyond the shitposty decor, they really invested in cool rooms, a curved hallway with strobe lights, and letting you just cast directly to the screen so you could pull any karaoke video you wanted off of YouTube

    ...we also cleared out almost all of their soju so they'd probably like to see us come back...
