The Cardinals are nearly as bad as the White Sox and have zero hope of getting better any time soon

This both delights and sickens me- the last 500 days are the worst 500 days for the Cardinals in the last 116 years

never been to the white sox stadium but everything ive ever heard about it says it sucks mega garbage

been to wrigley a couple times and enjoyed it. take a cab.

Yeah all signs point to Wrigley being the correct choice, I'll live out my rich man fantasy another day.

You can get reasonable tickets for wrigley (like I think starting around 20-30) but you have to actually check the view because wriggley is old enough to have actually terrible section views. I think there’s even obstructed view seats still?

I could get literally $6 tickets to see the Sox when the guardians were in town last week. Wild.

Ultimately neither stadium is great and wriggles is coasting on historical to avoid improving anything, but at least the cubs are watchable. The Sox are for seeing your hometown team come to visit and beat them up

  • JasconiusJasconius sword criminal mad onlineRegistered User regular
wrigley definitely has some big goddamn metal posts in some places, but i honestly cant remember if there are still seats behind them or not

there's no question its old, ive been to grapefruit league stadiums that are 10x nicer, but its all about the vibe and wrigley has that times twenty

  • Captain InertiaCaptain Inertia Central OhioRegistered User regular
The experience of Wrigley may also include experiencing Wrigleyville (depending on your itinerary)

The White Sox have an absolute shit stadium situation but that is very much their own doing

Yankees with the 3 game sweep of the Twins.

Final combined score of the games

    14-1

The Twins one run came in the first game, from a lead off home run in the first inning.

The Yankees are 120-44 against the Twins over the last 22 years, which is bordering on abusive.

The Rangers recently had a series where we outscored the Nats 13-2 but we at least let them win one of those games 1-0 so it seemed a little fairer

And them we let the Rockies sweep us because the Rangers are nothing if not generous

Soto is in a bit of a cold streak right now but Stanton has played well all season (A rarity, even in his good years he's always started slow and got going in June) and Judge is on an absolutely monstrous tear over the last few weeks.

Also Clay Holmes currently has 13 saves and has given up zero runs so far this year, which has been nice.

They’re supposedly in long term talks with Soto and that makes me so happy. He’s such a perfect fit

And he's bucking the trends and doing it by painting corners and relying on a psychotic late break on his fastball so that guys that can catch up to 100+ are whiffing both under and late on 92 to 94

    I'm a fan.

Kathryn Xu writing about the AL Cemtral remains my favorite part of Defector
The return of the sausage was a success. Byron Buxton, who per The Athletic's Dan Hayes had previously refused to touch the magical meat, smashed a solo home run to open the second inning in Tuesday's game against the Nats. The Twins threw the sausage directly at Buxton from the dugout, and Buxton begrudgingly caught it, welcoming its blessing. He would follow up with a two-run homer in the fifth to put the Twins up 6-0. Starting pitcher Joe Ryan threw seven scoreless innings as the Twins won 10-0, snapping their losing streak.

And the giants won 9-5 in 10 innings

As a life-long fan of the franchise the way the Phillies are crushing everything in sight is extremely uncomfortable for me and I don't know how to feel about it.

i'm just waiting for everyone's arm to fall off mid-pitch or somehow all 4 infielders and jt get into a huge pileup and all get hurt on the same pop fly.

    even 2008 wasn't this crazy.

Right now my money is on Bryce somehow chasing a foul ball and hurling himself into the dugout and crushing half of the pitchers to death, that could happen.
