Today was a wild day. Today I found out what the maximum number of people is that you can have in a group PM on here.

The idea, which I shared with almost 50 of your other Internet Friends here, was to show some appreciation for you, a genuine good human being, and give you a virtual hug for all the stress and headache you and your wife have been through since your daughter was born. And, you know, hugs are cool and all, but it'd be even cooler if we could cover the costs for all your baby supplies for a while to make life a little easier on you guys. Diapers, wipes, new clothes, blankets, etc, all that stuff is expensive. Luckily pretty much everyone I asked absolutely leapt at the chance to chip in. I figured we could probably gang up and scrape together like $300 or $400 for you to help out with the new baby.

I... uh... wildly misjudged.

These absolute monsters managed to get us to a grand total of $2,177.69

So, uh, check your PMs for multiple gift cards (because we fucking maxed out the Amazon e-Gift Card limit).

And a quick sidenote for anyone not included on the donation list: if this was something you would have contributed to but I didn't include you, I promise it wasn't on purpose. I literally maxed out the number of people I could add to one group PM, and wrangling all of this across multiple huge PM threads would have quite possibly driven me crazy. Sorry!!

Also, this thread is about 2 hours later than I wanted it to be because I've been ping-ponging back and forth between Amazon and my bank desperately trying to convince them to allow a two thousand dollar purchase of gift cards for some strangers on the internet.
