What's the best way to get an alert when a game is on sale these days? My friend just picked up a reasonably priced gaming PC and I want to get him a copy of Sleeping Dogs since he's never heard of it/played it. I'm not paying 20 bucks or whatever it is on Steam currently. I know there's a sale coming up. Do I just set up an Augmented Steam/IsThereAnyDeal alert?
Actually it's like 3 bucks on GOG right now, but I'm not going to confuse him with more marketplaces.
Anyone else seen/played this game? I bought it because all the reviews of it i saw were that it is pretty amazing, and it was on sale. I havent played it yet because that is how steam works, but was just curious.

I saw a fair bit of buzz around it about the time of its release. I think the main takeaway was that it's quite good, but A.) It does have a number of mechanics carried over from its original mobile game roots that range from mystifying to dumb, and B.) It is ridiculously easy and even just a slight amount of casual grinding makes the entire endgame comically trivial.

My 1TB Steam Deck OLED shipped today. I still wish they had gone all out and done VRR, but I'll take the display quality, latency, cooling and battery life upgrades. Being able to run 40 FPS in an 80hz container will be nice (or 45 in a 90hz container if the game is lightweight enough).
Lmao does the binding of isaac just not go on sale ever anymore? I've been watching it for awhile now and I haven't seen it go on sale in ages and i've wanted to pick up the last two expansions.
I'm thinking this might finally be the time I pick up cyberpunk then.
Oh, hey folks: Grindstone is on a massive discount.
If you like games in the match-3 style of thing, absolutely get grindstone. It's a simplsitic setup (Construct chains by linking together same coloured enemies, 10+ chains spawn a gem onto the field that lets you change color mid chain) with a ton of depth and innovative levels. There's some bonkers 200+ levels, and a NG+ mode now, so you can be stone grinding for days. Also all the powerups etc you can get are earned/crafted by drops from enemies - and you end up with a wealth of resources, especially with the carnival of creeps, so it feels pretty cool to use these to do crazy things.
I've got it on my switch and i'm happily going to rebuy it on steam just because it's such a good experience.
Also, @Questor is a jerk and sent me Ronin as an unbirthday gift midtyping this, how dare you Questor, it's been over a month sincem y birthday! I WAS SAFE.
If you like diablo like games it is a very good. Season one was a bit iffy but it seems to have found its feet and the end game seems to be in a decent place. I have played druid/necro/sorc and found fun specs on each of them that I enjoy seems like pretty good diversity now for each class.

Yeah, G2A is a sketch grey market one.
GreenManGaming is legit and usually has pretty good discounts on stuff if you want a good key site.
Two goals for the sale, hit 2000 games and get Steam Deck stuff
How many do you have now?
Asking for a friend.

You almost got through unscathed. I made it through with the only game gift being Pikmin 4, from the wife.
Which is a lot of chill fun right up until the Battle minigames.
Here's hoping the Autumn Sale has something in it that I'm interested in spending some birthday cash on.

Instead I am blowing off work meetings to watch Daniel Tiger with a sick toddler.

95% off (so $1.50) if you own the original.
