I have been lurking this forum for 18 years, roughly. It's an honor to know all of you, even if you have no idea who I am. I'm with @Gim - I drift on and off. But I will say this. You motherfuckers can make me laugh with a single line of text the way I can't get almost anywhere else in my life.

webcomics still going decently strong, the thread about them here is one of the more active ones

Oh dang my 20 was back on September 1st.

I still remember the whole reason why I registered was because I finally was able to sign up for the original Club PA, which was then promptly shut down. I didn't really start posting (in so far that I post) until January 2007.

I suggested it to a friend two weeks back, because he was asking me for parenting feedback - I am not a parent! - from a neurodivergent person, and I was like let me tell you about an entire thread full of people who will be cool and not make you feel like every other parenting group on the internet

I don't know if he joined or not, but I know he read through some of it, because he said 'wow it's a whole group of people who sound just like you (in a positive way!)' which, I'm glad he clarified was a positive

I’m 34 and every so often I think about this place and the people on it and how long I’ve seen some of these names float around. I also think about what I’d do if this place ever closed. I only know one or two people here on a first name basis, but I’d still want to keep up with all of you. At this point it would be weird if I didn’t! I hope we would figure something out, a discord server or an email newsletter or whatever the dang hell

Also, for the record, I guarantee Defender went hardcore libertarian. Not a question in my mind
