In his defense, I personally witnessed a time when Kevin Sorbo stuck up for a black man against white people.
The NZ summer, Feb 1995 when my character, #Xena was introduced into my husband’s show, ‘Hercules the Legendary Journeys’. We actors were sitting around and I brought up a news item. I said, “Guys, did you guys hear about that woman and her friend who were brutally murdered in LA? I think maybe the footballer did it!” And Peanut growled: “Hey! I knew Nicole and let me tell you… she was no picnic!”
BOOM
We were all gobsmacked. I said, “She didn’t deserve to be stabbed to death. He replied, “I’m just saying, She was a piece of work.” It stuck in my mind because those Americanisms were unusual to us. But we knew what he meant.

Has SNL brought back the "da bears" guys for a sketch on the sitcom? because I know it'd be pandering but honestly what else does that show have?
It’s election season. They will ride it into the fucking ground.

Rewatching rings of power, I love that interpersonal conflict is dealt with via discussion and ernestness. Elrond has so many opportunities to lie and he doesn't.
It's refreshing

Prefaced with the fact that I liked that show a whole lot, I swear this isn't a slam
But it's very funny to me that they spent a billion dollars on the effects and I was more impressed by "a marriage that functions well instead of like a TV show marriage"

There's this episode of Dragon Ball Super where Videl sees Gohan in a compromising position, and he swears it's not what it looks like and she just...believes him? Because she loves and trusts her husband?
And I don't think I've ever seen that in any other TV show before.

I have someone in my life that only knew of Deadwood offhand and I have happily dipped into my DVDs to start a runthrough with them for the first time in years.

I think it's a fun idea to have the season start with
Saz's murder, but it's also a huge huge risk, imo. Saz is such a good addition to an episode, and the joke of her doing everything Steve Martin does but also is more charming and better liked than him is never not funny to me.

I agree, but also, what a hell of a hook, right?
her getting shot in Charles' apartment, obviously mistaken for Charles. That's a great premise for a season.
Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

They killed Paul Rudd in the first episode last year, but there was still a lot of flashbacks and non-linear storytelling so we still got a lot of him throughout the season.
So Paramount's shutting down its TV studio and folding their existing projects into the CBS tv umbrella? That feels like it should be a big deal, is it a big deal? I know corporations are all in a race to see who can self-cannibalize the fastest, and I guess Paramount wins for entirely eating itself first, but on some level it sucks in a noteworthy way, right?

This extremely sucks, being as Paramount produces some of the best TV out there. Late stage Capitalism fucking blows.
Continued LOST rewatch thoughts that nobody is asking for...
Although I've been enjoying the later seasons much more than I thought I would (based on how much of a mess I remembered them being), it is incredibly apparent that in Season 4/5 they had no idea who they wanted their villain to be. Is it Whidmore? Is it Ben? Is it Locke? Is it Jacob? Is it Richard? Is it these other random people who have shown up now? All of these people live in this weird Schrodinger's Cat/Villain super-position until finally they decide it's

Didn't CNN+ shit the bed after like, 72 hours?
At least Paramount+ lasted for awhile, but I guess the death of Halo really was the final nail in the coffin

Halo once again costing all of us a source of quality entertainment with nothing to show for it. The suit didn't even jerk him off!
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Paramount Television Studio shutting down is just that specific one right? Stuff like Halo was a different production company?
I mean it still sucks that it is being shut down, but it's not the same as Paramount+ or the other studios/production companies.

This is correct. I think the most popular show under the studio is Reacher on Prime. While I don't think it's been announced what is happening for each show, everything is being transferred to a CBS studio and I would guess that popular shows are expected to continue.

The Drew Carey Show is available for the first time on any streaming platform, for free, on plex.
The show had previously only gotten a DVD release for season 1 and was otherwise unavailable.
I had no idea I thought maybe three
Has anyone referred to Carmy as 'Bear' prior to this season? Even once?

Anyway, hell yeah, lets get some Richard Kind up in this thing.
It was definitely announced. I don't know when but I have had a date listed in my phone list of upcoming shows for at least a couple weeks.
I agree, but also, what a hell of a hook, right?
