But yeah I mostly just get really bummed out when I hear a country radio station because it's all a bunch of bullshit about trucks and guns and how that means freedom somehow
As mostly a metal fan I can listen to music by artists that let's say I would not get along with due to fundamental political disagreements but like part of metal is feeling uncomfortable imo, country always feels a little cozier to me, or at least life affirming (not that metal isn't life affirming but mostly in the way that pain is life affirming you know what I mean?)
