Baby bro reurn half of what i sent, as i asked. Did it in minutes

Hence why I'm comfortable around him and scared of the other.

So if prostitution was legalized across America, how long would it take tech bros to ruin it?

Department potluck and mandatory fun today. The various managers are supposed to put together a slide of their teams with pictures. My manager is doing a gag one with our pictures replaced by celebrity lookalikes.

I did not ever consciously realize until this moment that I don't look like any celebrities at all. Just straight up unremarkable generic white dude. The rest of my team has some very very uncanny ones though.

This one director is such a pain in the ass

Certain masking supplies need to be readily accessible at all locations, supply chain is supposed to stock and manage them, and let nursing supervisors know where to find them

They should all be stored in one location, so someone can quickly find the one they need to serve a patient safely

Traveling staff are having trouble finding them at different campuses

A regional director, who is like two levels below the vice president of the entire department is just straight up refusing to do this at one of the campuses

    What a fucking jerk

I wonder why no one can find these masks

    Fuck

It's that or I'm the extra appearing for the episode that gets laid off or dies to show the situation is serious.

Imagine your loved one needing care and having covid, and some nurse or tech has to go on a wood goose chase across tens of thousands of square feet of the hospital to get the right mask and PPE to help them

This fucker makes my blood boil

Reactions to the t-shirt at work was either "That's so cool" or incredulity, so a huge success either way.

And then I walked 15 kilometers home in four hours and brushed my arm against poison ivy on the way. So that was a way to start my vacation.

Also learned that if you've forgotten how big horses are, horses are surprisingly big. If you haven't forgotten, then they're still big, it's just not surprising.

So the schedule dropped, and I'm working 7 days in a row, but only scheduled for four days next week. I'm also staying late tonight and tomorrow to help train the new guy on overnight.

Am I completely out of pocket to go talk to my manager about it, or should I just roll with the punches?

Never anything wrong with talking about it. I don't know the dynamics of your workplace, so I don't have any opinion about how hard you should go.

Good enough if what I’m hearing is true. Going to take a couple weeks off to address some of this burnout and then start looking.

Today I had my first customer in like a decade where I really wished I could turn them over to my manager to deal with.

    1) Without apparently researching anything or looking into it, this customer upgraded an app to the latest version
    2) The latest version of this third-party app apparently contains components that will involve this customer having to buy a new license from the 3rd party
    3) Full of regret, the customer comes to us to ask us to reinstall the old version. Except whoops, old version has been deprecated so we can't install it.
    4) Customer isn't happy and asks why it's been deprecated. I let them know that since we didn't develop the software, they actually will have to ask the developers why it's deprecated and to please re-vet and resubmit that software for approval.
    5) Customer doesn't like that answer either (probably because the developer's answer will be to buy a new license then, mooch) and asks if we can just roll their platform back to the version that had the deprecated app. We can't do that either.

So we've been through denial, anger, and bargaining so far, I'm hoping we get to acceptance soon.

When i worked for starbucks, the 1st and pike location was spoken of with awe.

2 team members on frapp stations
    2 on espresso
    3 cashier stations
Multiple people on food case and order expedition
Edit:1 seperate person ringing up ans handling starbucks swag and bags
    2 floor cleaners

Make no mistake I am hot or corporate for their naughty anti-union behavior, among other things. But the shutdown of a prime tourism location in the middle of summer is foreboding

Starbucks seems to be closing a lot of locations lately.
The one near my apt. is being " closed for renovations" again about a year after it was closed for months for renovations.
I usually go to Dunkin because they have actually convenient locations that stay open, so I'm not too upset.

Yeah I was gonna say, Microsoft Defender update and scan, or if said state borders an ocean, chuck the laptop into it.

Ask them to take a picture of the error message with their phone and text it to you. 99% of the time that's some dumb shit website that they allowed notifications from so it's just a Chrome notification window.

I was going to say, in my professional and family IT careers I’ve never gotten a “my computer says I have a virus” call that didn’t turn out to be this.

Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

Popped into work to handle a problem

    Left

Got called by manbaby about problem

Dreamed showing up to work for a little bit, being at site when fire system triggers. In hindsight, site was a fusion of a school and shopping center i patrolled with the same glorious brockwork.

Anyway, i pull in front to situate my vehicle interior (which looks like a mattress with my bedsheets {which i should fix}) when this rictus grin having horse walks slowly out a rain ditch with branches caught in its saddle. Freaked out staff fixed it while i circled around vehicle.

Rest of dream was riding with no pants in my car with two polite women who had rented it on their holiday and I sat in the back attempting to transfer this olive oil from a measuring pitcher into a smaller container while we drove

Feeling rather chill, despite my body clock being wrong for work, well fuck it

    Holy shit

The one supervisor was fired over the weekend

He's been here like 20 years, done a number of things that would land someone in handcuffs if this was most any other workplace

Supply chain at a nonprofit is not really subject to a lot of scrutiny, but he mostly famously lied about inventory records versus product on the shelves that was valued at many hundreds of thousands of dollars but somehow weaseled his way into a demotion instead of a termination like 10 years ago

I wonder what he did this time to get officially fired on a Sunday afternoon

Usually “didn’t get to clean out the office” means either they are being careful (like when a bank fires upper management) or something REALLY egregious
