Are you saying I couldn't chuck a small child?

Really depends on how good of a grip you can get

  • discriderdiscrider Registered User regular
Yeah, you're not going to be hammer throwing a Grimer like you would a small child.

I could see myself spending an afternoon chucking Oddishes at trains.

    Reminds me of Sunkern.
    It's a pretty good 2kg ball shape.
Also got a good drag tail thing with the leaves:

Sure, it weighs 25 pounds, but I think a reasonably strong person could get a pretty good discus style grip on it and send it flying.

It's worth noting that an Olympic discus weighs 2kg or 4.4lbs. throwing a 25lb living discus any notable distance is some world strongman shit

25 pounds is a lot heavier than most people might think

Yeah I could throw a 25lb object maybe a yard. Maybe.

Edit: OSHA recommends anything over 25 pounds be either a multi-person or tool assisted lift for instance. So 25 pounds is pretty much the maximum you should expect anyone to lift and move without assistance, much less throw.

Which evil Pokemon team takes OSHA the most serious. Team Skull seems to genuinely care about it's people the most.

I'm not saying that 25 lbs is a totally trivial amount or anything but that threshold is set at basically the minimum viability of a non-disabled adult of any size and strength to not hurt themselves even with bad lifting technique; you can almost certainly expect people to lift more than that day to day.

Like, I am not a strong person at all, but I own cats, I'm not strapping up or getting a partner to lift a standard 40 lb box of cat litter, and I could almost certainly launch said box more than a yard, though not a distance that makes it look like a "throw" in any real sense.

I used to chuck bags of rock and sand, but not very far. I also used to pick up 90 lbs. bags of concrete of the ground and I'm sure that had nothing to do with my back problems.

Maximum huckability is probably around the half-pound mark, maybe a little less. Even the apple Pokemon weighs over a pound, so I'm going with Sinistea. I could chuck the hell out of a haunted weighted tea cup, provided the spirit with okay with it. Otherwise I'm going with Cutiefly. They can fly anyway, and it might appreciate the assisted launch.

Actually, I think my real answer might be Minior:

    800px-0774Minior.png

...though NOT when it still has its rocky shell. I'm talking about after it loses that:

    800px-0774Minior-Core.png

It's about a foot in diameter, but when it loses that shell it goes from 88 lbs to about twice the weight of your average baseball. Plus, it's a floaty, flying, happy little meteor critter.

So you could probably grab it by one of those prongs, huck it real good, and have a lack of gravity put in some good work for you in regards to distance.

I bet you could bribe a Ghastly into just floating really far after you "throw" it.

I got disqualified when the judges discovered my "Teacup Voltorb" was a Haunter possessing a regular Pokeball

    Is it a critter?
    Then it’s a pokemon.

I’m too old to be calling things by anything more than a catchall.

That is bald faced hypocrisy, by the way.

If you call something I care about wrong, I will shatter the Earth with my anger.

I also wouldn't want to try and throw a light saber blade-first.
I don't think you can get good enough gloves to throw Kartana

    It's made of paper.

Ain't no way you're getting a good chuck out of that.

I have first hand experience that I can chuck a small child. Up to about 75 pounds.

Therefore it stands I can chuck any Pokemon that weighs 75 pounds or less unless they’re like MASSIVE or something.

You know, one of those Pokemon that just aren’t very dense.

You can probably get a pretty good chuck out of a 2kg sword, probably? ( I don't know anything about swords )
There's the minor issue of it draining the life force out of you if you grab it wrong, but just let go of it quickly!

None of them look ideal for chucking but I’ll go with the Alolan Marowak

In terms of straight up throwing it like a ball i think the best would be these 4. Koffing, Igglybuff, Castform, and Solosis. They are all pretty light, 1 to 2kg, but are also larger than a basketball.

    zqe9bh9ywe7t.jpg

In terms of raw distance though Chimecho is basically designed to be used in the hammer throw.

I have never been able to figure out what they were going for with that. You see a bosom but i see a scrotum.

It’s like one of those pictures where you see a horse but then look again it’s an old woman.

    Neither answer is wrong
