All I know about wizards is they don't make great lifeguards:
If I was a wizard I would get a tower. Man I would just cast lightning bolts from atop it all day, I would just chill up there and smoke the dankest elvish long leaf and weave hella cantrips and ponder my enchanted trinkets.
I think the only thing that would be uniquely different in a wizard fantasy would be that I didn't have to do a full time job to support all the tinkering I do
Just having a ding dang wizard tower where I could magically do the soldering at any time instead of physically doing the soldering when I'm not working would be nice
