I just tried to play King's Quest 4 and it pulled that crap. I closed the game.

    Dear gog,

Crack your games so they don't use copy protection.

    Thanks,
    Krathoon

Don't they come with manuals? I thought they all did.

Yeah. They do. You have to back out of ScummVM, open the manual file, look it up, and enter it in.

I didn't want to bother with it.

Could download it on a smartphone or tablet to simulate the experience.

    Edit: I mean just saying.

If you use the ctrl-f5 to get the scummvm menu and save after you only ever have to do it once in Scummvm.

It doesn’t make you do the copy protection to load games from that menu.

I honestly might rather do it that way than Freddy Pharkas’s “use the manual as a reference material for doing made up chemistry and gas chromatography as part of the solution to half the puzzles in the game” copy protection thing.

You can put literally anything in "Parents upset over ___" and it'll be true.
