Eh, no offense guys, but I think the on-screen characters are probably more entertaining for me than watching a bunch of nerds "rock out" on plastic instruments.

Or words that imply the same thing, anyway.

Even so, there is going to be a difference. Most likely, the drum part is going to be a simple matter of hitting the correct drum at the correct time, ignoring that there are different ways to hit a drum to produce sounds with very different timbres.
