I got Tales of Symphonia for $6.

It looked like they were pretty much clearing out all the gamecube and xbox 1 games, along with a large chunk of PS2 titles.

Go check it out, and post your grabs, and I'll try to find a list of titles going, going, gone.

Any idea if this applies online as well?

But damn, I guess I'll have to check out Best Buy. How long does this last?

Unfortunately, I don't know any of the details. I only know what I saw, which is that there were shelves and shelves of PS2, Xbox, and Cube games both in the middle of the store and near the check out where every game was $10-$20 with an additional 40% off at checkout.

My best buy had jack shit, no it wasn't cleared out by ravaging gamers, it was just shitty-shitty "shovelware".

Really? Here they had Hulk: Ultimate Destruction on every console, a ton of players choice/platnum/greatest hits, and a ton of other stuff at my store.

Some stores just have extra product and clear it out with impromptu sales. It's usually up to a department manager or store manager deciding to override prices otherwise set on a national level. This is especially true when they have games stickered with "Hot Dots", which is usually the mark of a current or previous sale the store does on its own.

Yeah - a percentage sale like that would normally be on a store by store basis - any real clearance pricing would be system wide price drops. Still, sounds like you made out well (I can't even afford Wiipoints right now, let along more games :( )

So that's what this was--I got Gunpey and Loco Roco for PSP for $10 each this way, and when the cashier rang it up, it came up as some other $10 game. The guy who came over explained that this was a way to clear out their inventory, so they just used a generic game UPC for the job.

yes, but is everyone clearing the inventory of all stores, or is this just for stores that decide to do it themselves??

At my local Gamestop, they are clearing out all PS2 and Xbox games, I see Scarface on both going for $10, and I saw FFIIX for $19.
I decided to pick up Condemed for 360 for $28, but it didn't work so I have to return it...
