So, I've got a lot of DDR cds that I'd like to load onto my iPod. Problem is, the artist field on most of them are different, and I don't really want to clog up my ipod with a zillion artists with one or two songs each. I'd like to batch rename the artist field of these hundreds of songs to all have the same artist information like "DDR" or something, so that they'd all show up under the same artist on the ipod.
I've looked around for programs that can do this, but I can't seem to find anything. I've found programs that can rename a bunch of files, but nothing so far that can edit the mp3 artist info.
So, does anyone know of a program that can do this or some sort of workaround?
Foobar2000 can do it.. You just select the mp3s you want, hit properties, then change the "artist" field from "<multiple values>" to "DDR" or whatever..

I do this via iTunes. Make a smart playlist called "Added Today" with the rule "added" "in the last" "1 day." Then highlight all of the files you want to change, either via select-all or holding shift and clicking, and "Get Info."
I do this all the time when I change genres, or up the volume for a quiet album, etc.
