Vinyl to MP3 on a Mac

Hey, I know that i can line out from my reciever into my MacBook to turn some vinyls I have into MP3s that i can listen to on my iPod. (These are all great quality, no scratches, nothin). So it'll sound good.
What i'm wondering is what is a good program to use to capture this sound and turn it into an MP3 real time. I know there is a program on windows that cna do this (takes whatever is going through your sound card) but i just ditched my windows box.
