Hi all, hoping you can help me.

I have a PC that I just had the motherboard RMA'd on. 4 of the 6 USB ports had stopped working, and the mobo was 6 months old. So I had it RMA'd for a new one. I get it, install everything into it, turn it on and.........nothing.

No beep codes, nothing on the screen. all the fans spin up, but nothing happens.

I've tried running with just the mobo/cpu/ram/video but that doesn't work either.

Any ideas?

Make sure you've made all necessary power connections to the board, and check to make sure you aren't shorting it out on the case somehow. If there are any LEDs on the motherboard, confirm that none of them are lighting up when you turn the power on.

Last time this happened to me it was a dead mobo. Usually you should get some kind of beep code, unless the motherboard itself is broken.

This assumes that you've correctly installed the motherboard (you did use the standoffs, right?) and that there is a speaker hooked up for the beep codes to come from.

best way to check for connections and shorting is reassembling the entire unit. also might want to check your video card.

last time this happened to me i hadn't plugged the ram in properly. best thing to do is, as recomended... take it all apart and put it back together and tripple check everything.
