The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I updated Mozilla Firefox recently.Now, everytime I start it up from a fresh computer boot, I get an annoying message asking if I want to start a new session or restore the old one. I searched all the options and I can't seem to find out how to disable this.
Unless your install is broken it should only be doing this if you turned off the computer (or logged out) with open pages in Firefox. Anyway, you can disable the feature in 2 ways:
Disable
To disable the crash recovery feature, set browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to false:
* Type about:config in the Location Bar
* Press Enter
* Find browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash
* Double click to set it to false
To completely disable all session saving behaviour, including the recording of session information, browser.sessionstore.enabled to false:
* Type about:config in the Location Bar
* Press Enter
* Find browser.sessionstore.enabled
* Double click to set it to false
